Your friend challenged you to climb all your favorite routes by placing only nuts, so leave the cams behind and pair Black Diamond's Stopper Set Pro #1-13 with complementary quickdraws in preparation for the first FSA (First Stopper Ascent). By the end of the season, hopefully there will be scratches galore all over each stopper's colorful, shiny exterior, but at least you won't lose a single nut since Black Diamond designed each stopper with a transverse taper and rounded edges for easier cleaning.

I feel super confident running out on these solid pieces. They are in my opinion the best passive out there.

If you need nuts for your starter trad kit, get these. These are a great value for how many you get.

I carry this while ski mountaineering. This set provides me with many options while climbing steep approaches for skiing. There is enough variety in this grouping to create good anchors for belaying and get good pro on steep terrain. They are easy to place and handle with gloves on.

Add these bad boys to your rack to allow for placement when you can't spare a cam or a cam won't fit. Learning to place these will give you confidence on every climb. Color coded to the BD scheme so you can have your system dialed.

It takes just one of these to make your day go from terrifying to awesome. A well placed and set stopper is nothing but a glorious thing. Classic BD, color coded for quick placement. Every rack needs a set.
