I was really excited about these pants because of all the great features including goretex and I was planning to use for backcountry skiing. The small was super tight on my hips/butt and I couldn't comfortably zip them, and the mediums fit better on the hips, but the pants are so wide and baggy in the lower legs, they felt and looked ridiculous. Plus the pants are way too long for me. I am 5'1" and 125 lbs. I would have invested to have them shortened if the fit was better. I really wanted to love these pants; they are a super high quality with awesome pockets and vents, but I had to return due to the poor fit.

Good construction and has all the functional features you'd want but a totally weird cut with too much material in the wrong places.

Ordered these after doing a ton of research, but it was hard to find detailed reviews. I am 5'7" and about 155lbs, I would say that I have a very athletic build. I ordered the medium. I thought that the fit around the thighs was great, but they were really baggy in the lower leg, and ridiculously tight in the butt/crotch. Great material, nice pockets, but they didn't work for me. If you have a flatter butt and shorter hips they might be great pants for you. The Peips pocket wasn't as weird as I thought it would be, and I could actually see myself liking it, but the padding was minimal enough that if you didn't use it for your beacon you would hardly notice it. The only other complaint that I have is that the zipper on the lower leg doesn't go all the way down through the cuff, and the built in gaiter is pretty minimal with no adjustment options. That being said if the fit worked for my body I would have loved to have held on to these pants.
