This pack is perfect for day hikes and tours and has enough room for water, a few jackets, snacks, gloves, lunch and a couple beers. It also has the perfect pockets and straps for backcountry winter tours. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

I bought this pack to carry the essentials when I'm at the resort, and it's been a great pack so far. It fits snacks, water, beacon, shovel, probe, and has a helmet sleeve as well. The only reason I didn't rate it as 5 stars is that the shoulder straps can be a little uncomfortable when I'm carrying my skis on my back for bootpacking. Otherwise, this pack is hard to beat for resort days when I'm going bell to bell.

I use this pack for bootpacks and sidecountry trips. The pack is well though out, built with stout materials and should last a long time. The diagonal ski carry works well and is easy to deploy. It does not allow A-frame ski carry. The pack carries well when loaded. The pack opens wide for easy access and is a good shape. It has just enough room for avalanche tools and extra gloves, hat, jacket, water and food. I bought the rust color and it is very sharp looking. All in all, very happy with the pack and have enjoyed using it.

I live in Park City and have been researching packs for mostly resort skiing. Can't ski w/o hydration and need space for layers and snacks - and spare gloves/goggles/etc. as often skiing w my two young daughters and good to have extra supplies for them. After 5 days on mtn so far, absolutely love this pack. Perfect size, comfy on lift, holds what I need, my osprey hydration bladder works well inside, and I don't notice I'm wearing it when skiing. Not too big but would probably be fine for side country or short backcountry. Love the top compartment for extra goggles or sunglasses or lunch. I compared this to an Osprey pack which I loved also, but was overkill for my use-case. I got the all black but the other colors look rad too.

The minimalist in me giggles in delight when I use this pack, but the dreamer wishes for one extra addition. I tend to layer, as many people do, and shed layers as the day goes on. This pack has no means of attaching a jacket, or really anything (other than ski's), to the exterior of the pack. On a pack this small, where you can't just stuff something inside, it's all the more important to have something like a pair of daisy chain style runners down the front. If you don't need them, they stay out of the way and light weight, and when you do need them, they're very helpful and convenient. As it stands, the fit and function is perfect (above issue aside) , and I will probably just end up adding my own runners, and hopefully they won't look horrific.

This is my first dedicated touring pack and it hasn't disappointed. Plenty of space for short day excursions of either pure touring or sidecountry.ski trips, would even use it for resort skiiing if needed on big blower days. Have used all the features such as helmet carrier and Avalung attachment and worked great. Highly recommended!

Unbelievable how many features Black Diamond crammed into this tiny bag. It will hold your skis, your helmet, your poles, your shovel, avalanche beacon, your flask of 'kool-aid', the avalung, your skins, granola bar, your hydroflask, and your emergency stash of bubble gum. Not only does it have all those features, but it also looks damn good. This bag is guaranteed to make you ski better, and look better. Contact me directly with additional questions!

"Plenty of room for your shovel, probe, spare clothes and whisky flask and the helmet holder/basket thingy is an especially nice touch. Really comfortable to wear for extended periods of time."

This is an awesome backpack. Very small and stays tight to the body, while at the same time having sufficient space for gloves, snacks, etc. Not fully waterproof, but stays dry in all but heavy rain.

Great little pack for side country / short tours. Has just enough features / pockets for half day trips, top quality construction & detailing & the fit is excellent. Seems like it will last for years as well. Very happy with this purchase.
