I'm on the petite side and have a hard time finding pants that can fit me. I love the material of the pants, very light weight and something i can wear around the house or on hikes. I read that the pants are on the smaller size so I ordered both an XXS and a XS. The XXS was too small as it couldn't make it past my butt, and the XS was perfect. It's a little tight around the thighs, but I can still move around in them.

These pants have so much potential! Great material, love the colors and elastic waist band. They seem like they would be great for any outdoor activity in addition to lifestyle or work. Unfortunately they struck my three personal classic patterns when it comes to hiking/climbing pants: too loose around the waist, too tight around the thigh, and too long. I am 5'4", 125 lb with an athletic build - small stomach and waist with somewhat girth-y thighs from squatting and running. My legs may also be proportionally short for my height. Didn't find anything wrong with the pants themselves, bummer they didn't fit. Hope this helps anyone with similar sizing issues. By the way, I ordered a small and medium. The small had the issues I mentioned above, the medium was flat out too big for me.

I ordered a medium without reading the other reviews. Wish I had! These pants were more like an XS than a medium. Could barely get them on.

The S in these is smaller than the XS Stoic pant by almost an inch. Like other reviewers said, even with sizing up it can be hard to get these over your thighs/hips because the front (no elastic) has no give whatsoever. But once I did, it fit great on the waist! It was still a tad tight on the caboose, and the length was a tad short, so I decided it wasn't worth keeping.

I liked the on-the-go pants I got that had the elastic at the ankles. I checked with Backcountry via chat to make sure these pants were sized the same, just with a straight leg. These ones are a lot smaller. I was excited to have two more pairs of these comfy pants but they have to be returned.

I had really high hopes for these pants, loved the mauve color. But the fit was horrible. The rise wasn't high enough for me, and I sized up for a L and they JUST fit. (I'm a size 8 / 29" waist) There's zero stretch and I could barely get them over my hips. If the elastic waistband was stretchier, or paired with a zip or something for a more tailored fit perhaps it would have worked. But the cut was too straight for my shape, loose at the waistband, tight thru the thighs, could barely get on, and I was just rather disappointed. Probably would have been too light of a fabric to do much aside from lounging anyway. Returned and did not keep

The sizing on these pants is way off relative to the size chart provided. I am normally a large and that's what I ordered based on the measurements in the size chart. I could barely put these pants on. I wanted them to fit so badly because they look very comfortable. I don't think athletic ladies were taken into account when designing these :/

I ordered the M and the L because I wasn't sure which would fit (I have big thighs/butt and small waist). Couldn't even get the M over my thighs, the L was skin tight in the thigh/butt area but had a couple spare inches in the waist. So bummed. I loved the shape and feel of these but it's just one more thing made for tiny people.

I bought these for traveling and they did NOT disappoint. They are perfect for a weekend trip- I didn’t even pack any other pants. The other reviews are VERY accurate. These pants definitely run small. I’m a curvy/thick bottomed 5’6” 155lb and normally wear a medium. The large fits me well, although a wee snug. If you’re looking for very roomy pants, I’d recommend 2 sizes larger than you’d normally wear.

These pants are great and multi-purpose! They are lightweight, breathable, stretchy, and comfortable! I'm looking forward to wearing these pants, not only for outdoor adventures, but also for lounging and functioning as scrub pants as well. I'm typically XS, and these fit me just fine.

I wanted these pants to fit, but they just aren't cut for my curves (I'm 5' 6" & 160 lbs). They were too tight in the butt & thighs. However, the fabric is really nice and I'm sure they'd be great for someone with a less curvy shape.

Wanted to love these. Ordered XL and everything on them says XL but they can’t be any bigger then a M. Something is wrong either mis- sized or someone has a sick idea of what XL is. Same issue with the ankle length. Very disappointing. Now have to pay to return when these clearly aren’t an order mistake but a make issue.

Enjoy the lighweight fabric, but the the pants runs small around the waist and upper thigh area. Read the previous reviews of folks that bought the On The Go Ankle Pants to get a size up from the ankle pants. Ankle pants were a medium (fit great), these long women pants style were a Large (too tight). Would recommend two sizes up. The pants are too tight for my curves. Having the return these. Luckily the ankle pants fit much better, more room around the waist and upper legs.

I ordered two sizes up from my usual size because of the reviews. These definitely run small in the waist and hips. I'm pear-shaped so, I need extra room in the hips! But, other than that, they are very comfortable, lightweight and a great length!

They seem like good pants but they run at least a full size smaller than the other one the go pants. The on the go pant and on the go ankle pant in XXS fit me fine, but the XXS in these I couldn't even pull up over my hips.

the fabric is so light smooth and comfortable to wear I never want to take them off. the fit was snug at 5-4 119# the S took an effort to get around my butt but i don’t think i would change the size. besides i’ve ordered the other two colors.

These pants have a very tight fit around the rear, thighs, and waist. I ordered these in my normal size, medium. These do not seem to be true to size. I have a pair of the On the Go joggers in medium which fit perfect and are very comfortable. This light cropped version does not fit at all the same as the joggers. They are uncomfortable and too tight. I do not plan to size up as I expect the fit to be strange even in a larger size.

I wanted to love these and tried these in XXS and XS. For context, I'm typically an XXS or XS in Patagonia and other brands. Neither of them fit right. I was barely able to pull the XS over my butt and hips. Not sure how these are sized, but it's a weird fit! The pants themselves seem like they would be very comfortable in the appropriate size. I have a pair of the On the Go Joggers (in XS) and love them.
