Got these pants in Sep when my climbing leggings are all worn out. My first impression is the fabric felt harder than cotton, but they looked great on me. They can be both causal work pants in the office or super cute outdoor hiking and climbing pants. Took these pants on a climbing trip to Indian Creek last week. I can easily fit a thin warm legging under for warmth. Highly recommend them, hoping to get another pair soon in a different color.

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant. I've got big thighs and hips for my frame. The pants are a little snug on my legs initially, but honestly that is consistent for any pants I purchase. The pants do stretch over the course of the day so it all works out. The waistband is snug without being constricting and the fabric of these pants are perfect for "fall" days in Savannah (high 70s-low 80s with some humidity). I purchased a pair that was on sale, but I'm thinking now I may just go ahead and go for the full-price black pair, I love them that much.

I really wanted to love these. I am very petite and I was so excited to see Backcountry offering a XXS as a lot of brands don't. I love the colors and the fabric. However I am not sure if I am in between sizes or the fit just isn't right for my body. The XXS felt constricting over the thighs, but comfortable on the waist. The XS was gappy in the waist and right in the thighs. Just for kicks and giggles thought I would try the S - and they were a parachute. I'm sure they're awesome on some people!

I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. After wearing these pants multiple times, I understand why they are called "on the go" - I love them for all occasions! I recently took them on a trip and they were the only pants I brought because they were perfect for all situations (the plane, around the house, on a hike, etc.). I love how stretchy the fabric is and the front and back pockets are very deep without feeling too bulky (fits my iPhone 6 nicely) which is always a bonus because deep pockets can be hard to find on women'™s pants. The back pocket is zippered too which has proved very useful when I want to go out on a quick jog and don't want the pocket contents to fall out. The color options and stitching on the side enhances the fashionable yet sporty feel to the pants and the drawstring is very secure when tied. I'™ve washed the pants many times and the color, fabric, and size comes out looking just as it first did when I got the pants. I also recently wore them when scrambling on rocks and the fabric never wore down no matter how many rocks I scraped up against. Another bonus is that the pants look great when rolled up (cuffed) and not rolled up. I'm relatively short but these pants look great when they aren't rolled up which is hard to come by in other pants. They will definitely be my go-to pants for years to come. For context, I own size Medium and my hip size is 38 inches. Color is Peppercorn.

Love these pants, they are my new go to for daily wear. They fit true to size and are prefect for running errands and trying to keep up with my toddler. Super soft material as well. If you’re thinking about getting them, I totally recommend it!

These are the best fitting, most stylish functional pants I've ever experienced - esp as a thin petite woman. the "crop" is the perfect pant length for me (I'm all torso, short legs). The XS is true to "misses" sizing which is perrrrfect for me because a lot of outdoor apparel is "womens" sizing and always too baggy somewhere unless I order a XXS which usually ends up being too tight somewhere... le sigh. The cut of these pants is perfect and not too baggy or clingy anywhere. The pleats on the front pelvic region allow easy movement, but lay flat when standing up straight for a polished look. The perfect light weight, not too thin and provocative in the butt. Love that the elastic is only across the back to not pull across my stomach – I'm 10wks preggo and still enjoying these pants because of that. Also I like the medium-low rise for the same reason :) I basically wear these everyday now lol.

Wanted to love these. Ordered XL and everything on them says XL but they can’t be any bigger then a M. Something is wrong either mis- sized or someone has a sick idea of what XL is.

I was a little worried about the fit of these pants when I first put them on because they were slightly more fitted than I was expecting. With that being said, they are comfy and stretchy, and very easy to wear. I'm tall (5'11"sh), and these hit just above my ankles. I'll probably wear these to work, on easy hikes, and maybe when I'm floating the river with friends.

Lightweight, super stretch and the color looks great. Ordered a medium and fits true to the size (size 8-10) I'm a shorty with soccer legs and these will be my everyday pants.

Bought these because I'd been dying to try a pair of OTG pants but I'm quite short so normal length pants always drown me. Fit is true to size if you look at the charts and is flattering. The pants have stretch and don't bag out after wear. I will be purchasing more

Pretty satisfied overall. Material is high quality and fit is comfortable without feeling frumpy. They have quickly become a regular in the work rotation (retail) and also felt great to climb in. My only complaint is with the color called “ebony” I expected closer to black. They are definitely more of a dark blue nowhere near ebony.

Wanted to love these. Lightweight, non static-clingy, would be flattering etc. They look like they could pass for good looking street clothes as well as for hiking, so I was stoked that they would be so multifunctional. Can't tell if these are cut weirdly or if quality control is off, but the shape of the thighs in this one is very unappealing. I have athletic thighs, and even for me, it looks like I was wearing pantaloons. one thigh was also WAY larger than the other. Unfortunately returning.

I've had the regular on the go pants for a year and a half and they're the best. I've indoor and outdoor rockclimbed in the old ones the whole time I've owned them and they're still in good shape! They're my go to hiking pants because of the pockets and the waterproofing. I wanted another pair and choose these for some variety and because of the crop. I've only used the new pair a few times now, but I assume the durability and waterproofing will be the same because they're the same fabric, stitching etc. The new ones also look a little nicer when out and about, the crop vs the elastic makes them look less like adventure pants. If you have the regular on the go pants, the sizing is the same, except these are slightly slimmer in the thigh and calf, waist is exactly the same though. If you don't have a pair already - sizing is true to size. Most companies that carry XXS shift all the other sizes to be a little bigger, but this isn't the case. I'm usually an XS if the company doesn't carry XXS, or an XXS if they do, but I tried both and the XXS is too small for me. (Which is awesome, no one carries clothes for petite ladies) These are awesome pants!!! I get compliments every time I wear them. I do wish the crotch was a little different, and wish the rise was more medium than medium-low... But that being said these pants are really great and they're worth buying to see if they'll work for you.

I just got these in the mail for every day and Hikes. They are so comfortable I also got a few other type pants from another brand and while comfy, they don’t fit as great as these. I have about 38 inch hips and they aren’t too snug at all. I ordered the peppercorn and now back for two more colors

I'll never go back to leggings for hikes after these. I didn't even realize how much I was missing out. They're so comfy and stretchy and amazing for outside. They fit a bit snugger in the thighs/hips than the regular version with elastic bottoms, but they're still great. I wear an XS short in the elastic bottoms and an XS in these which are a bit shorter still, although I debated a small. Would buy in more colors! And maybe live in them.
