The Arc'teryx Men's Delta MX Hoodie is a performance fleece forged by Arc'teryx's climbers for climbers anywhere. The Polartec Power Dry fleece has a smooth face so ice climbers can layer shells over, and its grid interior wicks moisture and dries quickly when rock climbers break a sweat. The balaclava-style hood comes in handy at brisk belays, and the thumbholes stay out of the way when you're climbing rock. Arc'teryx fitted the fleece trim, and ensured a full range of motion on the mountain.

I wanted a technical face fleece with all the features on the Delta MX offered. I have quite a few Arcteryx pieces purchased over the years including a Delta Fleece 1/4 zip and 2 Delta Fleece Full Zips. After receiving the hoody, I was not disappointed by the fabric or details. However, the fit did not work out so well. All my previous purchases of the Delta Fleece are Mediums. Looking at the MX’s construction, I thought sizing up would be the way to go. I ordered the L and it was way too big at the upper body and shoulders. So I ordered a M which fit perfectly on my upper body, but was like a wetsuit at the waist and felt long as well. Neither size met my expectation. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning both and trying out tech fleece from other brands. Having purchased a fair amount of Arcteryx clothing over the years, I like to keep it consistent, but it seems the design team at Arcteryx is designing this style For someone with broad shoulders and a skinny waist. For anyone who may be a little straighter from shoulder to waist, buy with caution and try your size and another.
