Designed with minimal bulk in mind, the Arc'teryx Women's Beta SL Hybrid Jacket lends itself to lightweight backpacking, backcountry tours, and climbing trips where saving pack space is essential. Two different fabrics maximize protection from the elements while maintaining durability and lightweight efficiency. Functional details, including a helmet-compatible StormHood, laminated DryCuffs, and WaterTight zippers, seal out the elements without weighing you down.

Responsible for its lightweight feel, Gore-Tex 2-layer Paclite construction repels oncoming rain and snow while minimizing bulk in your pack. It's reinforced with stronger Gore-Tex 3-layer construction along high-wear areas, meaning it'll withstand the abuse of strenuous outdoor activities. Another big upgrade, the Gore-Tex C-Knit backer maintains an ultra-supple feel while improving the jacket's overall breathability. Ultimately, this combination of two different Gore-Tex fabrics keeps you blissfully dry during inclement conditions—all without the heft and crinkly feel of standard Gore-Tex jackets.

The Beta SL Hybrid is as light as it gets for a fully-featured jacket. It uses a blend of Gore-tex with C-Knit Backer, 2L Paclite Plus body, and 3 layer reinforced wear areas. I love that it has big harness-compatible pockets and pit zippers. The fit is trim - I had to size up if I was layering.

We had an unusually wet spring in Utah this year. This bad boy kept me dry. The pit zips were a dream for a long approach & the zip pockets were high up enough out of the way of my harness! The quality of all Arc'teryx is high end and totally worth every penny!

I find I want to use this jacket in almost every outdoor activity I do. I got the green because I like high visibility colors for the backcountry and being easily seen by my friends through the trees. The unexpected benefit was that the fabric is really tough and can be a barrier between your flesh and tree branches. I had to size up to the medium because of a fuller bust, but an A or B cup could probably be a Small.

I got this jacket since I have been without a shell for years and it is amazing. I usually wear a small but went up to a medium because I like more room to layer and not feel too tight. The medium fits greats and does the job. I wore it skiing and thought that it would not keep me warm enough since it was snowing out but I was just as toasty as my super heavy ski coat, except this jacket breathes better. I only wore a small down jacket and a hoodie and I was super warm and even a little hot at times. I love this jacket and know it will last for years.

I bought this as a gift after a failed TNF product and a Marmot jacket that just needed to be replaced. She hated TNF jacket and Marmot didn't have the greatest fit, per her. Arcteryx was the ticket. Also, I might mention Backcountry .com was very accommodating on a confusing return. Thanks!

I AM! This jacket is incredible! SO lightweight and very waterproof. It has a nice flattering fit and the hood can fit a helmet underneath it. I ski in it and even on blizzard pow days this jacket keeps me dry. I also plan to use it as a shell for other activities, as it's super light weight and I can move well in it. The color looked more yellow in the photo (it is a very bright orange), but I still love it! I purchased a Medium which is my usual size. I can layer underneath it with my Patagonia Nano Air, and it fits pretty perfectly. Not much room for anything beyond that or else I'd go up a size. New favorite shell!

My favorite shell by far. Easily can fit a puffy underneath or just wear the shell for a spring skiing day. Armpit vents are always a plus! This jacket keeps me dry and has a very flattering fit.

Super jacket for skiing - downhill and backcountry. I can layer up or down based on the temperature and my activity without the jacket looking bulky or constraining my movement. Comfortable wind protection. I get lots of compliments thanks to the flattering fit - both around my waist and how the length sits around my hips. Functional, stylish with Arc'teryx top quality - love it!

I gave this jacket to my wife for Christmas last year, and it has absolutely performed in every situation she has put it through. We went on a trip to Florida and it kept her completely dry as we walked to the beach in a complete down-pour. It has also been amazing as her top shell when we going skiing here in Utah. It keeps the moisture off and totally shuts out any wind from seeping through. I highly recommend the Beta if you're looking for a jacket to last you a life time and never stop performing.

This is my first arc'teryx goretex jacket and i love it. I got the mystic blue XS with the 30% off discount. I am 5 feet 2 petite size and weight about 100lbs. This jacket is slim fit when using alone in windy weather, yet there is room to fit a thin down jacket inside as middle layer if the weather goes colder like below 0 degree Celsius. The length of torso is great, it covers my waist well and sits nicely around upper butt and makes me look great in ratio. I used it under snow on a trip and it keeps me completely dry. It is also very wind-proof. I can feel there is different texture on shoulder compared with the sleeves or bust, but no matter what it keeps me dry. The material is softer than I expected but it can do alll the things. Amazing! The only complaint is the Velcro on sleeve opening is quite hard on the hook side. It is really hard that it hurts my finger tip when tearing it. But I think this Velcro gonna be very tough and hold like forever.

Oft this jacket with the 30% off coupon (thanks Backcountry!) because I needed a new shell. I haven’t used it yet but excited to try it out. The fit is typical Arcteryx, which is to say slimmer in the torso than brands like Patagonia. I’m in between a small and a medium and sized up to a medium which fits perfectly with room for maybe a thin puffy layer. Only complaint is that the sleeves are bordering on too long, but maybe I have abnormally short arms? Who knows.

Right after I purchased this all the rain from the remnants of hurricane harvey hit, it was PERFECT. Kept me dry working outside and is so comfortable.

If you want to stay dry, look no further. This jacket is extremely lightweight, but extraordinarily effective. It is form fitting and not bulky at all, but I was still able to fit a t-shirt, flannel and Atom SL underneath with no problem. I also have a Beta AR, which is an equally good jacket but this is definitely lighter and not as stiff- it makes less of that typical “swoosh”rain jacket sound when you move. Definitely a worthwhile investment to your gear closet.

"Arc'treyx Beta SL Hybrid jacket has been the perfect coat for backcountry ski touring because it's lightweight, has waterproof zippers, dry cuffs around the wrists and underarm vents. The jackets material Gore-Tex 2-layer Paclite protects me from wind and snow but still remains breathable and durable. I like the design and look of the coat and the size charting is true to size. Because of the Arc'treyx quality and construction I know I will be able to rip around the ski resorts and tour in the Wasatch mountains for years to come."
