The Volcom Women's Shadow Insulated Jacket is ready to tackle powder days and bluebird days with both function and style. Constructed with a 2-layer V-Science membrane, this jacket provides waterproof, breathable protection from the elements. Fully sealed seams keep any moisture from sneaking inside to soak your layers, and the synthetic insulation helps stave off the cold without adding bulk.

Not only does the Shadow jacket keep you warm and dry, it also comes with a complete list of features to keep you on the mountain longer. An adjustable powder skirt ensures no wayward snow sneaks into your pants or jacket, and it can be combined with the Zip Tech jacket-to-pant interface for absolute shelter from the snow. The adjustable hood adds another layer of protection on stormy days, and includes a removable faux-fur trim for luxurious style and warmth. Mesh-lined underarm zippers help you dump heat quickly after a long run or on sunny spring days, and a variety of pockets keep your mountain essentials close at hand.

I'm typically a size 10-12, so I orginally ordered the Large and had to return it for the XL becuase it was much too tight around the hips (I had to zip the bottom almost halfway up to be comfortable) and didn't have enough room to wear a sweater under it. The coat's warm enough that you might not need to wear a sweater with it, but I like to have options! The XL arrived yesterday and I'm much happier with the fit. The coat is super warm, very soft on the inside, and lighter weight than it looks like would be. Now to see if it will hold up to a good PNW rain!

Gave this as a gift and she loves it. Loves the dual zipper since the jacket is a little longer it gives you ease of wear/sitting. Removable fur to wash and wear it different. Super cute and was true to the size.

I got this coat for skiing and LOVE it. It keeps me warm, yet is light and breathable as well. It isn't a big bulky coat. It's slimming, however can also fit layers underneath so I don't think there is a need to size up. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the color as well.

TBH I rarely write reviews, but this jacket is so good that I wanted to spread the good fortune of it coming into my life. I obsessively looked for a coat this year and can’t believe I made the right choice. First off, it is so flattering and stylish for a sporty coat. It is warmer than I expected— wearing it with cashmere sweaters in the high twenties works for me. While below that I would be cold, I have been so happy to wear this for dog walks most of the season, as it’s much nicer and less cumbersome than my big winter parka. And still, because it’s breathable, it fulfills the elusive jacket weather niche of cold-freezing rain/wet snow that is important for the endless winters of Chicago. Visiting CA for the holidays, it does work for milder temperature rain too. Seems perfect for winter sports if you need a hybrid coat. In sum, it’s totally watetproof, cozy, designed smartly, and well-made. I get compliments all the time in the city too, which doesn’t hurt. The brown color is gorgeous. A small would have likely fit, but I got a medium because I need to layer and the arms are nice and long and the length is good (mid-thigh), but the shape remains flattering. So so happy with my purchase.

I got this jacket for snowboarding and to use as my main winter jacket. It has been perfect for both! It's a super cute pattern and I get compliments on it all the time on the slopes. It has a lot of pockets too! I ordered a size up because I wanted a baggier look.

I received this coat only two days after I ordered it. It fit well and I love the fabric and it seems like it will be warm, but was too long and difficult to zip up because I had to bend over to get at the bottom of the zipper and when I bent over the zipper went even lower! The back is lower than the front, so it especially looks long from behind. I bought an XL but I guess I'm just too short for this size.

Great jacket! Really kept me warm while I was skiing but also felt breathable. I'm usually a Small but ordered a size up so I could have a little wiggle room. Tried on both and the small was too tight in the shoulders and so I did not have as much mobility. All in all, great jacket, good pockets.

This jacket was given as a gift and they loved it! It fits true to size, it's perfect for snowboarding/skiing. If you get cold easy you might have to layer on really cold days but it's warm, waterproof and stylish!

The Volcom Shadow Insulated Jacket is easily my favorite jacket of the season! The black color is awesome, matches with everything, and is beyond warm. I was shocked by how warm it is! It's not a thick as most snowboard jackets, and love how it isn't bulky! The low-loft insulation is SO warm! Love the fur + the tassels! Couldn't recommend enough!

Style meets functionality. Super flattering cut and length, but definitely a slimmer fit: if you want room to layer, size up. Vents under arms are an added bonus.

This coat is on fleek! Perfect longish length but not too long like your wearing a dress! Very tailored! And secure feeling I could wear a medium but like a lil room for movement and layering! It looks great on! And Great with the Volcom Iron Pants or any other Volcom Pant, Cuz don’t forget to keep those buns dry with the genius Zip In Tech 100% !!!!!!!
