The Thule AirScreen softens annoying noise by redirecting airflow around your roof rack system, especially when you're driving through strong headwinds at highway speeds. It's fully compatible with Thule's AeroBlade, AeroBlade Edge, and SquareBar racks, with the SquareBar system requiring the included hardware for installation. As a convenient bonus, both the AeroBlade and AeroBlade Edge attach with a system-specific clamp interface. This frees up the T-track underneath, allowing you to mount and remove rack accessories without pulling off the AirScreen.

I wont say it is the most annoying thing ever but anyone who has driven on a highway with a roof rack that doesn't have one of these knows it can get pretty noisy. Will also save you some gas money . Win Win.

Those of us who bought the aerobars early, love them. They are so quiet UNTIL .... you actually put a carrier on the rack. I know sounds stupid, but true. I have four bike racks on that cause a constant whistle. Finally Thule put out a fairing for the aerobat and problem solved. I still can't use the sun roof without some noise, but at least I don't know the rack is up there when the sunroof is closed
