This hat is so thin it doesn't keep your head warm. That and it gets stretched out quickly and doesn't stay on your head well. Not the smartwool quality I was expecting.

It's a great little hat that fits right into your pocket and possibly under your ski helmet when the weather is killer. It's thinner that I originally thought, but it does have its uses. Would be great for running, touring, snowshoeing, etc, but I would go with something thicker if you're really needing warmth and coverage for hours at a time.

I love this beanie! The merino wool makes it nice and warm but also gives you some breath-ability. It is my favorite to wear during winter time and especially while I am on the slopes. Its not too thick or thin, it's just right!

This hat is great! Its cuffed length is long enough to extend over my ears and the Merino wool keeps my head warm without being itchy. The hat isn't bulky at all and stores well in my pocket when I'm not wearing it.
