I actually bought this for splitboarding during sunny spring tours. I really like the hood - seems like other brands more tailored toward hiking/mountaineering have unnecessarily large hoods that are not as useful. This hood is more form fitting than those - just what I was looking for, Good for UV protection. Wicked sweat well. I'm 6'4", 205 lbs and the large was a good athletic fit, exactly what I wanted.
