Just returned from a ten day trip to New Zealand - my brother used these cleats & they're awful - the contact surface of these cleats is flat, polished aluminum which offers no traction whatsoever and also, they're recessed into the boot tread so that they prevent the rest tread from contacting the substrate - the $6 box of aluminum pan head screws I used were a helluva lot better & safer - use anything but these!
