This is very nice shirt, it certainly will be warm. I would buy again but...... I have purchased XL in all my shirts for years so I purchased an XL. It is huge. It is so big I checked the tag to make sure I did not get an XXL, I did not. I will keep it as it will work nicely at a shirt jack to be worn over other clothes. If I buy another it will be a L.

Finally a shirt that doubles as a light jacket. Can be worn layered with a jacket during those cold winter fishing trips. I got a sleeve wet on the river and was surprised how fast it dried. Another amazing product from Simms.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my step-father. He already has one which he has had for years. Insulated enough that he will wear it as a light "jacket" while out running errands as well as chilly days on the river. These shirts last forever.

This shirt is so warm and comfortable, I wore constantly during the Oklahoma cold season. It finally got threadbare and fell apart after two years of hard labor. Had to have a replacement that was exactly the same. Washes well and dries quickly. Seems to shed the dirt, even after barn work, riding horses, and washing the dog. Couldn't ask for a more durable, easy-care, wear-like iron shirt.

Can get the same insulation from a smartwool or capilene undershirt with a light over shirt...but this is just easier. Looks good on the river or wandering to the bar/restaurant at the end of the day. No cotton, so for river wear, if you get a sleeve wet releasing a fish or take a dunk, it'll dry reasonably quickly and maintain some insulating power...

Good for temp's below 40 degrees. Will keep you warm with light base layer like wader wick. I have the medium in green.
