With its rugged construction and customizable features, the Spectrum Max is sure to help you land your catch.

Rigid frame-to-spool connection

Rigid frame-to-spool connection

The Spectrum Max boasts a more rigid frame-to-spool connection compared to the regular Spectrum reel, providing enhanced durability and stability while fishing in harsh environments. This feature ensures that your line is always straight and ready for action when you need it, improving your casting accuracy and distance. The rigid connection also helps to reduce flex and twisting during fights with big fish, allowing you to exert more control over your catch.
Sealed Carbon System Drag

Sealed Carbon System Drag

The Spectrum Max utilizes Sage's advanced Sealed Carbon System Drag to provide strong and reliable stopping power, making it easier to reel in even the biggest and strongest fish. This feature also ensures that the drag remains smooth and consistent over time, minimizing the risk of line breakage or tangles. The sealed design of the drag system also helps to keep dirt and debris out of the reel, ensuring that it stays in top condition for longer.
Aerospace-grade aluminum construction

This feature ensures that the reel can withstand the rigors of heavy use in tough fishing environments, making it a reliable choice for anglers who demand the best. The high-quality aluminum construction also makes the reel lightweight and easy to handle, reducing fatigue during long days on the water.
Quick-change spool mechanism

he Spectrum Max features a convenient quick-change spool mechanism, allowing you to easily switch between different lines or set-ups on the fly. This feature is especially useful for anglers who fish in a variety of different environments or with different types of fish, as it enables you to quickly adapt to changing conditions. The quick-change spool also makes it easy to store and transport your reel, as you can quickly remove the spool for safe and compact storage.

This reel is amazing! Went to pyramid lake over the weekend and caught some massive Lahontan cutthroat with this reel paired with a sage x rod. The multiple drag settings make adjusting very easy. I love the new chipotle color. I would definitely buy again.

This is great reel. I picked up a 12 weight in the squid ink, great fit and finish feels nice and solid. Put it to the test with several large tarpon, smooth drag that is more than enough for those monsters. The positive click setting on the drag is really handy, nice to be able to dial it back to strip out line prior to casting and then be able to dial it back up to the exact spot you were fighting fish with on the last cast.

Recently picked up a Redington Crux 6wt 9'6" rod and paired this reel with it. The drag on this reel is very smooth and has 40 clicks of adjustment. I fit 100 yards of 30lb backing with Rio Perception fly line. It is well balanced with my rod looks great too!
