Have these and the ultralights, but prefer these when the bulk isn't an issue. Having the separate finger holes is super nice.

I really like the larger opening for you fingers and the scissors definitely come in handy. The only thing I don't like is how they don't pop open like most forceps but I bought new ones due to my umpqua forceps popping open when they're just hanging there so it's better than that!

I have never really put much thought into nippers, but clearly Rising did when they designed these. The asymmetrical finger holes make these easy to hold/use, and I found the rubber finish to be easy to hold onto while my hands were cold from river water. The scissor feature is an added bonus. Great product.

I was tired of the regular ol' hemostats so I thought I'd step it up a notch. Traditional hemostats have a smooth finish and get very slippery when wet. I love the rubberized coating. Great deal for -$20

I have nippas from these guys, the big nippa, the pliers and these scissors. They are all super durable and functional. I won't buy tools from anyone else anymore. I went through half a dozen frustrating hemostats before finding this brand and becoming a convert.

After a while of buying cheap hemostats I thought i'd treat myself. Picked up a pair of these bad boys and am pretty impressed. Large openings for frozen digits with gloves. Strong enough to bend down most barbs. Like all rising gear it is well made and fairly priced. Do yourself a favor and pick a some up.

These are great. I bought them to replace my second Ultralight Pliers from Rising that I lost somewhere. These are pretty beefy in terms of feel and they are a little heavier than I'd like or what I had anticipated. These seem like they would be better all around and are longer than the ultralights so better to get deeper into the fishes mouth if they inhale your fly.

These are easy to unlock and simple to use. They are smooth and a big step up from the cheaper choices that are out there. Rising makes great products.

Rising makes great tools and these Bob's Tactical Scissors are no exception. They get the job done for a variety of tasks. The rubber handle is great when your hands are wet and your in a hurry to get the hook out. I am a fan of these, give 'em a try and you will be to.
