Customize your reel with the Redington I.D Reel. This die-cast reel has a flat back surface that is compatible with Redington’s I.D decals, which offer you more than thirty options for customizing the look of your outfit. With designs representing everything from your favorite breakfast (donuts) to your favorite fish species, these decals are easy to apply and remove so you can change your look depending on the day. The reel underneath is constructed with die-cast aluminum, and has a large arbor for speedy line retrieve. The disc drag system is built with a Rulon friction plate for stability, so you can be silly with your decals, but serious about stopping a fish.

Purchased this reel mainly for the great price, and I haven't been disappointed. If you're a casual fisherman, look no further- this will get the job done just fine. Pre-spooled bonus!

I grew up spin fishing and occasionally fly fished. With the warm winter we've had in Utah I've decided to get into fly fishing. This reel was recommended to me as a solid reel for a good price. So far I've been really pleased with it. My father has been fly fishing for years and tried it out for a few days. He's now considering snagging one for himself.

This is a great reel at an even better price. I have a number of high end trout reels and have been fishing for decades and one thing I have learned is that trout reels don't need the stopping power or disc drag of high end salt water reels. Having said that, the Redington ID has both and looks great. You could pay hundreds more, but if you care about getting out on the water with a reliable rig for trout fishing, this reel should be at the top of your list. After fishing with it all day, I noticed it was just as good and as efficient as all my other reels and looks just as good. The guide I was fishing with recommends them highly and I've noticed more and more guides are switching to Redington's high value no nonsense equipment. I'm a believer.
