I love Halle pants so much, I own three pair. Yes, the pockets are minuscule and you can’t put anything in them. I’ve crawled and scooted over rocks and through brambles, tossed them in the washer and wired them to work the next day. They are comfortable and look great!

Why do the men who run clothing manufacturing businesses make pants that effectively have no pockets for women? The pants have such tiny pockets that anything you put in them will fall out, including your keys. I am never buying anything made by PrAna again and I am never shopping at Backcountry again. There should have been a statement about the tiny pockets so women who keep their wallets and cell phones in their pockets would know not to buy it. The only way to find out about this is to pay for shipping and see it for yourself.

I love most Prana pants--I seriously live in the Meme pants, I don't think they will ever top that design, but since they seem to be discontinuing that style I thought it was about time I try the Halle straight pants people rave about. These had a nice flattering fit in the waist/booty/hip region. The material is the same hiking pant material I've become used to with Prana's Meme pant. Unfortunately, these weren't quite a flattering straight leg on me, which may have a lot to do with my thigh to calf ratio -- I definitely have slimmer calves and ankles which works perfectly with the taper of the Meme, but with these "straight" leg pants it ends up looking like I'm wearing flares which is waaaay too middle school for me right now. So unfortunately I had to return them.

These are my go to pants for the outdoors. If you're already a fan of the bootcut and are switching over, I would recommend buying one inseam up. I own the short inseam in the bootcut, but I bought the regular inseam in the straight version. [Cons:] they do run hot in the summer, especially if you are in the desert (e.g., Utah) or the humid East Coast; wish the front pockets had zippers, but I've never had issues with anything falling out of them [Pros:] they. are. so. cute. I feel so great about my body wearing these. Form fitting (sooo hard to find in my size), but functional for the outdoors (hiking, climbing, kayaking, backpacking, etc.); durable. Over 4+ years of owning/wearing and have yet to stain or rip them (although I did recently wear through the belt of one pair); drawstring belt; articulated knee. I've never felt restricted while making a move climbing in these; capri option; color selection! the "Earthbound" color is a beautiful yellow/brown mustard-y color

I love love love the Halle pants. I have a ton of the boot cut. I have a messy, strenuous job and I work with a bunch of men. These pants allow me to move with out being revealing, they clean up easy and it doesn’t matter what I get on them it always comes out. They breathe so I’m not a sweaty mess when working in 100+ temps. These straight legs are a perfect “updated” look for outside of work. Snowshoeing, skiing, climbing, dinner and drinks. They are perfect.

These are my wife’s favorite pants. She loves the stretch and comfort. Not only is it her go to for hiking but even to the grocery store and back. They are durable and are made for any life style you through at it.

These pants are timeless. From climbing to hiking and backpacking, they will not disappoint. I agree with one of the comments below. these do run short.

I love the regular Halle pants. I got the straight ones for a more updated look. I got the black to be more dressy as I use the others for hiking or day to day. The fabric feels different to me; it's more coarse and stiff, less silky and less stretchy. I can "feel" the fabric of the black ones as friction against my legs, whereas the other colors that I own (thistle, olive, jasper and wedgewood) all felt like a higher thread count. And the length is TOO SHORT! It is expected that you might want the straight to ride above your ankle as opposed to draping over the shoe in the flare, but 2 inches subtracted is too much! It would have been better to shift to 31 or even leave it at 32. & the tall is 36"! How many men or women need that length? It must be assumed that you will either roll or hem them. Not cool! The only good thing is that the size is consistent between the regular and straight, although the straight is more contricting, but don't know if it's the cut or the difference in the fabric? My bad, I shouldn't have ordered 2 of them. Now I'm stuck as I don't want to waste the money on return shipping.

I am 5 11 and hiking pants have always been challenging. I love the original Halle pants, and the regular inseam hits just right without dragging on the ground. I was excited to try the straight leg version, but they were quite short. I noticed the inseam on the regular length was 30 in, not the 32in listed here. The inseam lengths on the Prana website are also different from the ones listed here.

I bought 4 (one of each color) of these Prana pants and really liked the fit & stylishness. I bought the “short” but decided to switch to the “regular “ length instead. I’m 5’2 and 129lbs, but feel more comfortable with a little longer length around my heels / over my hiking boots. Great pants and price!! I highly recommend this pants!
