The combination of its skinny diameter and ultralight weight makes the Petzl Standard Climbing Rope perfect for multipitching whether you want to use it as a half or twin rope. Its UltraSonic finish bonds the sheathe to the core in order to eliminate frayed ends and enhance its overall durability, and an EverFlex treatment ensures excellent handling and gives this rope a good grip for many years. It has a low-impact force rate when you use it as a double, and a high fall rating when you pair it up with another rope. The middle mark helps you identify the center of the rope for speedy rappels, and the ClimbReady Coil lets you uncoil the rope without tangles.

Bought two of these ropes about a year ago to use as a twin/double rope system and they've treated me well. 8.5mm keeps it light but not too kinky. Worth it just for those massive 50m rappels.
