Grab another gear, get out of the saddle, and dance on the pedals while wearing the Men's Pro Leader V4 Limited Edition Cycling Shoe from Pearl Izumi. Bestowed with the same bantamweight construction and features that make the Pro V4 the lightest, stiffest, and the most breathable road shoe from Pearl Izumi is present on this Limited Edition version with a special Black finish and Red highlights. Therefore, you get the same seamless, upper and super-stiff and flashy electroplating carbon sole as the original, anchoring your foot and channeling all of your power through the pedals on double-digit gradients and county line sprints that tickle 40 MPH. Shoes are a critical contact point and are essential for proper power transfer and comfort, and like the pros, we've had great luck with Pearl Izumi shoes and we're certain you will too.

Pearl Izumi crafts the uppers on these kicks with an Advanced 3-Layer Seamless version with absolutely zero stitching that offers exceptional breathability and reduces the potential of hot spots by adapting to a variety of unique foot shapes. To this it provides it's 1:1 Zero Distraction Upper Fit that helps to mitigate foot discomfort by avoiding pinching and excessive constraint on the soft tissues running along the top of your foot. The synthetic material doesn't stretch and is very durable so the fit remains the same over the course of the shoe's life which we reckon will be many, many seasons.

The Leader V4 utilizes asymmetric closures, and Pearl Izumi places the dual IP-1 Boa reels slightly off-center to further protect those sensitive areas on the top of the foot while still offering a secure fit. The Boa IP1 dials allow 1mm micro-adjustability in either direction, perfect for cinching up before the sprint or loosening up for a little more comfort, and pop up for a full release. The 1:1 Integrated Carbon Power Plate delivers feather-light efficiency with a stiffness rating that's a 13 out of 13 on the Pearl Izumi scale and the heel bumper is replaceable should you need to swap it out down the road. Thanks to its unique uni-body construction—which eliminates a traditional lasting board—Pearl Izumi is able to preserve a super low 5mm stack height for a more powerful and fluid pedal stroke. The 1:1 Insole System rounds out the highlights by allowing independent left and right arch and forefoot Varus canting adjustability for optimal pedaling mechanics.

I loved my old Pro Leader IIIs and they lasted forever. When I first got the Pro Leader V4 I loved the fit, feel, and aesthetics. In under a month two of the fabric loops that hold the BOA lines have broken off completely from the shoe from what appears to defective stitching. I really liked the shoe before this happened. Hopefully its an isolated issue.

I normally wear a 45, but for these 44 fit better. They have a nice, wide foot bed, which offers a lot of comfort while still remain tight. Doing a lot of big gear, low cadence training and there is no slipping of my heel. Great shoes!

Nice shoes. They look like soccer cleats. Soft leather and comfortable, customizable fit. Run a bit large. I'm a 45 in Garneau and a 44.5 in Giro. I got these in 45's and they are a hair too large.

The boa lacing system is what does it for me. The interchangeable arch supports and wedges are also a huge plus when it comes to fitting!
