I ordered per reviews (recommend 2 sizes larger) and they were too big. The material is not a lightweight material its heavier more durable material. I ordered size 12 (have hips) but they were way too big all over, especially in the waist. I should have ordered a 10 and maybe they would have fit better. I usually wear a medium/8 in pants/shorts.

I should not have listened to the reviews. I am 5'6" 135 lbs. My hips are a good 39" and waist 29". I followed the reviews and ordered a size 10. on Steap and Cheap. They were way too big. I could slip the shorts on without undoing the laces. They also are shorter than they appear on the pictures. I am already out $14 because of shipping and returning. Not even bothering ordering the size 8 to exchange now and paying another $7 in shipping cost. It's a shame because my husband has that model of shorts in men and they are perfect for wakesurfing/wakeboarding. They dry super fast. I really liked the pattern and the length otherwise.

I wear a 10. I ordered a 12. They fit like an 8. :( I wear a L in all other Patagonia shorts, with some room to spare.

Runs very small. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs and wear a size 4. I ordered a 6 but need to send it back and order an 8. Lastly, there was no packing slip or return label in my package. It was very inconvenient to have to go online to print one out.

These are great quality. I would say order 2 sizes up vs what you typically wear if you like a fitted but not tight look.

I purchased these to wear on the river and they are awesome. Perfect for the river, great for every day wear as well. They are light, dry quickly, and fit true to size. Additionally, they are just the right length. I am on the lookout for another pair now.

I'm 5'2" 110# and got the XS. Shorts are a boxy cut and cut up the rear for me. Fabric has no give even when wet- really wanted to like these but they were uncomfortable when sitting in a kayak all day.
