I have put a lot of miles on Patagonia's Strider Pro 5 inch shorts and I thought I would give these a try. They are slowly becoming my new favorite! The attached liner is amazing!

Love the Nine Trails so much! Really comfortable and stylish. I use these primarily for working out and training as well as chilling around the house so they are useful for all activities. The quick dry material and built-in liner make transitioning from land to water super easy. Would highly recommend these shorts for any active indivdual looking for a versatile pair of shorts for the outdoors.

These shorts are great! The liner is nice so you don't need to wear boxers underneath. If you are going to wearing boxers underneath these shorts you would need to cut the liner out or wear a size up. I ordered two pairs of these and am thinking about picking up a third. You can't go wrong with these shorts! Make sure you size them correctly to ensure comfort!

These are the bomb. Perfect for hiking, running, or doing anything outdoors in warm weather. Best pocket design for running shorts I've ever encountered. You can fit an iPhone 10 in both sides and not really notice it's there at all.

These are great shorts for hitting the trail. The liner is super supportive, and the pocket zips are tough and smart design-wise.

I pack a medium black hole cube in my work bag for mid-day workouts. Since first trying these on these are now my go to shorts in that bag. They’re perfect for almost any activity I can throw at them from a quick run thru the trails to hitting the company gym. I was sceptical about the liner after reading reviews and I don’t know what the previous liner was like, but these are great. I’ve never had a liner with legs before, but these feel snug and comfortable. I love that every pocket has a zipper so my phone isn’t taking its typically customary dive to the floor while sitting down on a gym bench. Perfect length. I ditched the attempts at orchestrating packing for any particular day - shorter short for runs, longer for climbing day or gym - these work for anything.

Why do these shorts cost so much? Because they’re worth every penny. After 20 years of running and dozens of shorts, I found the pinnacle (of shorts at least). Great liner, supportive but not too tight. The shorts breath well and they never bunch up on hot humid days. Mile 10 is as comfortable as mile 1 - no chafing or uncomfortable seams. Great length. If you are looking for the perfect jogging shorts, don’t let the price scare you.

If you're not wearing shorts with built in liners, what are you doing with your life? These are incredibly comfortable, durable and look great. Will buy again!

These are now my favorite running shorts so far. Many running specific shorts are a bit too short for my taste, but normal athletic shorts are a bit long, but these fall about an inch or so above the knee for me which is perfect. The material feels super light and breathable, but somehow still durable. The zipper on the pocket is also pretty clutch. I can go grocery shopping in these and have pockets to put my phone, keys and wallet. But when its time to run, I can zip the pockets up to make them feel like a more traditional running short. The liner on the inside is also really nice and breathable, and not too restrictive. They're also surprisingly versatile as they didn't look out of place when I wore them to play basketball or to use as hiking shorts. Overall I'm a huge fan and I definitely plan on picking up more pairs of these in the future.

five stars. i have many pairs of the older model and they last forever but i wanted to try a set of the new...the drawstring is external on the front which i prefer. the side pockets are positioned better and easier to use. i feel like the internal liner may be slightly less tight which is a good thing. perfection as usual.

The only bad thing about these shorts is the lack of colors available. Super comfortable, great fit, and convenient storage with zipper pockets
