When the air's cold and the water's warm (or vice versa), the NRS Hydroskin Men's Glove offers the perfect combo of low-profile insulation and superglue-style grip. By wrapping 0.5mm neoprene in four-way stretch PowerSpan fabric and lining the whole package with water-repellent, quick-drying ThermalPlush fleece, the Hydroskin keeps your paws warm without a bulky fit to keep you paddling happily 'til it gets dark. The GripCote palm and fingers keep your hands glued to your paddle, and the fleece nose/sweat wipe lets you clean up snot and wipe your brow without a rough, scratchy feel.

Great pair of gloves! Kept my hands warm up to the South east November last year. I needed something to protect my hands from rock scrapes and I realized that these won't do. So I'm getting some other pair for that purpose. Other than that little issue... if you're looking for gloves to go on a river with not so many shallow rocks or whatever, you found it.

These gloves won't keep your hands warm, they will just make them colder. These gloves hold cold water against your skin but are not thick enough and not insulative enough to compensate, so you end up with colder hands wearing them than not. I used these packrafting in 40ish degree temps with some heavy rain near the end of the run in class 2+ rapids. My hands got really cold wearing the gloves and were warmer when I took them off. That's because the water would fall off my hands and not stay pressed against my skin. This has nothing to do with the quality of NRS products, they are a great company. The product is just a flawed concept. I either need to wear some thicker gloves or pogies or nothing at all.

I've been looking for a great, low profile paddle glove for a while now and when I saw these I got really excited. Now they've arrived I can say that they've exceeded my initial expectations. These gloves are thin (but still protective) and allow you full mobility in your fingers. Interestingly enough, considering the thickness of the neoprene, these gloves keep my hands surprisingly warm. I've paddled with these in January run-off. The grip in the palm and on the inner finger works really great, even when wet. Very happy with the purchase. Look at the bottom of my review for my contact info. Feel free to email or call if you have any questions about my review or this product.
