After the success of its Alpine Kitchen Knife, MSR created the even larger Alpine Chef's Knife. The sharp, stainless blade excels at chopping, slicing, and dicing even the largest veggies. A modified Santoku design gives this knife a shape that's well balanced and easy on the hand, even if you're prepping food for the world's largest group.

Just like the smaller version of this knife, this guy is super sharp, very durable, and crazy light. I have both in my camp kitchen kit and adore them both.. Wouldn't change a thing.

I bought this knife for prepping larger foods at my campsite on longer trips when I don't do all my prep at home before departing. It's a nice light weight, comfortable to use, and has a solid sharp edge. Goes thru peppers, potatoes and tomatoes like a dream, just be sure to rinse it with fresh water and wipe it dry before tucking it away for the night. The sheath is a light weight design that's great for storing the knife anytime it's not in use. Overall a good quality and value purchase.

Very sharp, holds and edge well, but it does rust pretty easily so keep an eye on that.

This knife is lite, cuts well, looks good BUT it very very easily rusts. Just be careful about that, mostly if you end up kayaking, salty water no bueno!
