The Barryvox Package Light is Mammut's lightest package containing all the avalanche essentials required for touring the backcountry. Its Barryvox Beacon is incredibly intuitive so backcountry skiers and splitboarders can master the simple interface quickly. With a triple antenna, the Barryvox boasts an impressive 70-meter digital range through an easy-to-see display that shows distance, direction, and victim number. The Alugator Light and Probe 240 Short are Mammut's lightest shovel and aluminum probe. The shovel weighs about the same as a soda can, and the probe even less than that.

This kit comes with all the necessities. I have used PIEPS Sport and Arva beacons and the Mammut Barryvox is by far the smallest, and one of the easiest to use. Luckily, I haven't needed to use the shovel or probe yet, but they are light enough for you to forget they are in your pack.
