Mammut’s Aconcagua Jacket is a versatile layering piece that can be worn as an outer layer in cool weather or utilized as a midlayer (ML) when layered under a waterproof shell. Part of what makes this jacket so versatile is its Polartec Power Stretch fabric, which provides warmth while maintaining a high level of breathability and mobility. In terms of fit, the Aconcagua is tailored to fit comfortably under a climbing harness with both pockets being easily accessible while wearing one.

I am always between size M and L, sometimes even within brands. I am 6’ 183 lbs, size 32 jeans, and the Large fits perfectly. It’s form fitting as it’s supposed to be but not too tight by any means. Length of torso and arms are perfect. Is lightweight and warm. Moves well. This is a very good piece if you’re specifically looking for a Mtn garment without a hood. I have used this on approach on cool spring days at Smith Rock, and with climbing itself. Very nice jacket. I would buy one with a hood if given the opportunity.

Mammut makes good stuff, but it's as if this fleece had shrunk in the washer before it was ever worn. It fits very snugly, by far the smallest size Medium I've ever worn.
