Lamson does it again. Price Point, aesthetically pleasing, bomb proof, and made in the USA. This reel will get you a step up on those reels that come with combo's and wont break the bank, not to mention its a true workhorse and is at home on any trout stream.

This reel is great. There's not many moving parts to break, and it's pretty bombproof as a result. I've put mine through hell and it still looks okay despite paint loss around the edges. It's also easy to clean/lube.

Im just getting into Fly Fishing, and this reel came highly recommended. Honestly, i haven't taken it out yet, but when i do get it on the river, ill post an update. It looks and feels really durable, which makes me feel secure in my purchase! If Dan is saying its a legit reel, then i would trust it (see below review).

Despite the silly title of this review, this reel is serious. With the conical disc drag system, all adjustments are as smooth as can be. Further, the same system offers a water sealed internal housing as well, making sure everything that you want to stay dry, stays dry. The reel itself is lightweight by design, but sturdy with the 6061 bar-stock aluminum, so it won't let you down. This has worked well with my 8wt and has helped me bring in more fish smoothly and efficiently. Finally, the fact that it is a U.S. crafted and assembled item should help put your mind fully at ease when wondering where the item came from. With the limited lifetime warranty from Lamson, this reel is worth your time and your money, check it out!
