The one bike add one was perfect for my two bike rack. It is sturdy and looks and feels like it cane with the original 2 bike rack. Easy to install and the functionally is identical.

The images are only of the 2 bike add on but the only available option is the 1 bike add on. This should be more clearly listed in the description.

I would have liked to have the extension part, but I ended up selling it as it didn't suit my needs. I really love the quality of the way it was built, and when it is installed as an extension, it is SOLID! The thing doesn't swing around like other looser ones. That being said, it's installed with two very long screws, the process is far too tedious for the quick add-on purpose that I want an extension to be (like the Yakima extension). If you want a basically permanent rack for 4 bikes, this is definitely the way to go. But for people like me who mostly want a 2-place bike rack with the occasional extension for friends/shuttles/etc, this is more trouble than it's worth.

The add-on takes the already hefty NV 2 and turns it into rack-a-saurus. Still love the quality, function, and looks, but damn this thing is huge and heavy now!

This is a super sturdy and reliable rack, although the price is on the high end, I assure you that it is worth every penny! Very very easy to use and will do it's job of getting your bikes from here to there.

The first thing I noticed about this rack is the quality of the materials. The rack is very sturdy and made with heavy duty materials. The only downside to that is weight of the rack is pretty heavy. My favorite elements of the rack are the tightening ball where when extended really creates a snug fit within the hitch and doesn't allow the rack to shake very much as well as the bike locks which I didn't have on my previous rack which are very easy to use and convenient to store. I also bought the add-on rack with this product and the only complaint is I now have two sets of lock keys because there isn't a way that I know to request the same coded keys for both the base and the add-on. I took this rack with 4 bikes from Utah to CA and I didn't once worry about the safety of the bikes.

In addition to being an amazing rack. This thing saved my truck when someone decide texting was more important that paying attention to the road. I was at a dead stop when a women rear ended me going around 40 mph. The rack took all of the impact. My truck was untouched and her van was destroyed. Three of the four bike slots were still in perfect condition. I was shocked to see the thing still in tacked after how hard I was hit. Kuat is amazing! Their warranty department is top notch. If you want a bullet proof rack that will last forever, this is your rack!!! If you have any questions about this or any other gear shoot me an email at jasjones@backcountry.com or give me a call at 801-523-4053

If you don't know about Kuat racks, you've been living under a rock. These racks are bullet-proof; so solid and awesome. Loading and unloading of my bikes has never been so easy AND nothing is touching my carbon frames!! Now I have room for FOUR bikes!! You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I have it on the back of my Jeep Wrangler and it's staying there!

This rack is very intuitively built. It assembles in a snap, and installs very easily. HIGHLY recommended. FYI I have mine mounted to a 2015 Honda CRV.

This add on is easy to use and install, and matches perfectly with the existing rack finish. Rock solid, super steady construction, and very easy to use. Highly recommend.

This extension is solidly attached with two good sized bolts that run through the device. The bike doctor interface is identical to the two bike set up on the NV 2.0 main rack. This adds some heft to the NV but the foot activated lever to raise and lower it remains smooth and reachable. If you need the capacity boost to 4 bikes this is a great rig to go for.
