The 6mm cushion is especially comfortable for sitting, kneeling, or lying poses while the sticky surface keeps you stable no matter the asana. The mat is lightweight, easy to transport, and features original artwork from local Utah artists to inspire your practice. Long-lasting, the Ultra mat has no heavy metals or phthalates, but rather is made from polymer environmental resin which is oil extracted from biodegradable plant secretions to produce a plastic-like material.

I just started to get into yoga and wanted a beginner mat. I really enjoy the extra cushion this mat because I have weak wrists and always find myself in pain mid-class. I also really enjoy that the mat has some stick to it because usually I'm sliding all over the place.

I bought this for a friend for her Birthday, she is just starting to get into yoga. This seems like a good sticky mat perfect for beginners. The only issue is she is 5'11'' and it is a tiny bit short for her. Other than that no complaints!

So I needed a Yoga mat for an upcoming Yoga class at work. I picked this one as it is a 6mm mat - thinking I would need a little extra cushion as I am a Yoga newbie... we will see. I will update my review after the class if I dont LOVE it. But it has a great feel, cushion to it. The colors are vibrant and energizing which is a plus. Seems like a nice quality piece of equipment.

I'm new to yoga and was drawn to the design on this mat ( I got the "Blue Moon" color.) I've been taking several classes a week and have gotten several compliments on it! The cushion level was really great to start on for me - so I'm really glad I got it. One thing I will say is that I find myself slipping around a bit. I'm not sure if its just because I'm new to the practice, but I just got the Manduka SuperLite Travel Mat for when I travel for work, and it feels much *stickier* in comparison. Still, I've enjoyed using this in all classes I've been in (nothing hot, just yoga and fitness/flow classes) and haven't felt the need to use a towel with it.
