Your old man probably taught you how to fly fish with a classic wicker creel basket, an old click-and-pawl reel, and a Fenwick Fenglass Fly Rod. Modeled after the original Fenwick rods of the past, the Fenglass will take you back to the days when fly fishing meant slowly and deliberately casting to rising fish on rivers, streams, and lakes.

The Fenglass Fly Rod has a classic look that pairs perfectly with your old click-and-pawl reel, while the cork handle and reel seat give it a lightweight feel. The three piece design helps the blank bend from butt to tip when you hook into a fish, and it offers a medium action that makes for smooth and accurate fly presentations. Whether you're fishing for brookies in the Catskills, cutthroats in the Rockies, or Northern Pike up in the U.P., there is a Fenglass perfect for any angler, so put your old click-and-pawl reel in its new fiberglass home.

After casting all of the modern big box glass rods, this one definitely feels like the fastest to me. It'll take modern fly line (I'm using perception) and shoot line half a mile. For use on smaller streams with a lot of overhead brush, or no back casting room, the 4 wt is perfect. I look forward to big hoppers this summer with the fenglass.

The FENGLASS is amazing, picked up a 5wt and decided to take it out to a local stream on a cold wet day. The ammo of choice was a streamer and this little rod made it happen! Sticking small browns felt like I hooked into a trophy Tarpon. This rod won't disappoint, the finish is classic!

Purchased this rod in a 4 weight for small streams. Throws dries and small streamers with ease and accuracy. Provides great feel in both the cast and the catch. The rod reacts effortlessly to the tug and results in fewer breakoffs and a whole lot of fun.

Absolutely love this rod! Great feel, accuracy and the presentation on dries is great! I have 3w and 5w and from small dries with the 3 to streamers with the 5 I have been fishing these exclusively since getting them. The color takes you back to Grand dad's old school rods, get one if you want a nice buttery presentation and feel. Keep em wet
