Welcome to the wild west, where there are actually guidebooks that advise against leaving your quickdraws on climbing projects because other folks might shoot at them. Although not actually bulletproof, Edelrid's Bulletproof Carabiner is actually super helpful at any crag you project regardless of the firearm regulations. With a steel insert, this carabiner refuses to wear down from your rope like other lightweight, alloy carabiners do.

I bought the bent gate (lime green) carabiner to use as a replacement for one of my current quickdraws that I use on chains at the top of routes. The biner is so light, but still feels durable. My ropes normally gets very black from the aluminum rubbing off from my normal quickdraw set up. I am excited to see if this helps keep my rope cleaner this upcoming season. Hopefully the steel insert will mean I will have to replace anchor biners less often.
