Sure, catching fish on a nymph is a good time, and sometimes it's a necessary evil if you actually want to catch fish. But, chances are it was that first fish you caught on a dry fly that got you hooked on fly fishing in the first place. With a design that's optimized for casting dries to hungry trout, the Echo Dry Fly Rod is the ideal rod when you're fishing a small mountain stream on a warm summer evening or looking for trout on a crystal-clear spring creek.

The Dry has a crisp medium-fast flex geared towards casting standard-weight lines and playing feisty trout with light tippets. The Dry also has a slightly faster flex than Echo's Gecko or Base rods, and it has a bit more power than any of Echo's throwback fiberglass rods, allowing the Dry to easily make presentations in the 25-50 foot range. The rod is designed to be fished with a standard weight line, so you don't have to worry about over weighting the rod with a heavier line.
