The Darn Tough Men's Over-The-Calf Function 5 Padded Cushion Ski Sock adds a new level of comfort to your days on the mountain. Strategic cushioning zones are placed at five areas where ski boots make the most contact, as well as providing extra cushioning at the Achilles and ankle. Soft, breathable and anti-microbial merino wool cushions your foot while moving sweat away so your foot stays comfortable and your feet air out quickly after you pull your boots off for the day. Nylon fibers improve durability and Lycra adds stretch so the sock conforms to your foot for an optimal fit. Seamless construction keeps chafing and blisters away.

The fit with my feet wrapped in my La Sportiva G2 Boots wonderfully. The front padding is critical.

I purchased three pair of Darn Tough socks in December of 2016. I am out playing in the snow a lot, and I wear them, and wash them, and wear them, and wash them, on and on and on...…… After three years, still in very good shape. My feet are comfortable, I also wear warm boots. The coldest air temperature I was in was in 2019, when it hit -34 F. I am here to buy more just to have.

These things have all but eliminated hotspots on the front of my ankle bone. A bit on the warm side but the padding is cushy and in all the right places. True to size, typical Darn Tough quality and construction. Worth every penny.

I am in love with these socks, I look for reasons to where them even when not skiing. The cushion over the shin and Achilles area feels great and the added Lycra makes sure they stay snug all day

I have had two pairs of these for 4 seasons of skiing with over 200 days on each pair. I recently purchased a third pair to add to the sock drawer but am amazed at how the first two pairs have held up. Vermonters know how to make some socks.

Super comfortable. I can't believe I used to ski without ski socks. Makes a world of difference, with padding and tight compression.

Been looking for something that isn't too thick but still has enough padding to minimize rubbing / pinching in climbing boots. These socks are hella comfortable and are warm enough to last a full day of ice climbing. Highly recommended.

Your feet will thank you for buying these socks! I have tried every major brand of ski sock there is but every single one before these missed the mark. The 5 Padded Cushion Ski Sock covers my shin in all the right places where my boots usually pinch or push. They are taller than most ski socks I have tried and go almost over my knee but it adds an extra later of warmth and comfort. I would definitely suggest these socks to anyone looking to elevate their comfort when skiing.

These are incredible socks. I wasn't a big fan of how the design looked based on pictures, but it's not quite so bad in real life. The socks are super comfortable and very warm. Lifetime warranty is also a nice feature. Would purchase these socks again and also recommend to a friend.

I like these socks a lot. I wish they would ride higher on my calf, but I like how warm they keep my feet.

I love these socks. I have a couple of pairs in the women's version. These make great gifts for Skiers. I bought a some of these for the male Skiers in my life. I mean, who wouldn't be stoked to get a pair of Darn Tuffs? The padding is awesome, and helps out in the contact areas. (Depending on your boot) Socks fit true to size. Check out the size chart!

I have a confession... I have never owned a pair of wool socks before in my life. After recently moving to SLC and being shamed for my non wool bargain bin socks I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I checked out several pairs but ended up going with these ones based on several recommendations. I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the patchwork visual style of these things but I still got them nonetheless. Two days later I'm at my house with these socks in front of me and they still looked pretty normal minus the notably higher build quality and extra cushion in some areas. I slowly removed my wretched '200 pairs for $2 socks' and took these out of the package. My dog cocked his head in confusion and anticipation over the sheer intensity of the situation. As I slipped on one of these socks my whole world changed. Doves burst threw the windows with a fragrant rush of fresh spring air. Patches of beautiful lush grass and decadent flowers erupted all around my floor. Divine light shone directly threw my roof as two angels descended upon this mortal realm to finish pulling up my sock until the fit was perfect. Song birds began to populate my once quite room with a wonderful melody that brought a tear to both angels' eye. My dog begun to play Vivaldi's Four Seasons on a grand piano in perfect harmony with the songbirds support. All was simply perfect in that moment. It's been five days now and I still have not removed the socks.

I got to try these out last year and let's just say I have replaced all my old socks with these guys for skiing. They regulate temps well, they feel great, and they haven't stretched out. Comfy feet and quality products are worth the price.
