Black Diamond's Jetforce Pro Split 25L Backpack is one of the few backcountry touring packs that caters to splitboarders specifically. Not only does it include a redesigned Jetforce Pro airbag, but the airbag's deployment is designed to work when you have a snowboard strapped vertically. Unlike most ski packs, the Jetforce Pro Split forgoes the standard ski carry attachments and uses a snowboard carry that can still technically carry skis since it also carries splits, just in case you ever ride with skis or your skier friends ever borrow the pack. This sleek, streamlined pack also includes carry systems for a helmet, ice axe, avalanche gear, and more. Its 25L capacity is completely modular so you can add Black Diamond's Booster Packs (sold separately) to add more storage for longer tours.

The Jetforce Pro airbag got a redesign this season. Its rechargeable, fan-based, electronic system is now lighter, smaller, and placed in a more convenient location for packing. The travel-friendly lithium battery includes an LED battery indicator, automatic self-diagnosis tests, and the ability to deploy multiple times on a single charge. The bag features puncture-resistance, automatic deflation, and multiple deployments should one fail during a slide. It's also Bluetooth-compatible to the Pieps App for system analysis and updates.

This bag is the final addition in a backcountry setup, especially when you are in steep terrain. The multi-pulls on a charge offers you the peace of mind to deploy the airbag even if you think there's something, or if there is. It's the peace of mind that gives you the extra confidence out in the backcountry. Additionally, the design is well thought out, with a compartment for the essentials (beacon/shovel/probe) and enough room inside the pack for a day tour or an overnight trip.
