The fabric is nicely stretchy, drapes well, but I found that the crotch hangs a bit low and the butt is also a bit baggy. I'm not a slim guy, generally 33-34 waist and the 34 fit well at the waist, but I prefer a little more "closeness" to my clothing than this. I realize it's for climbing, but I've found that pants from Prana or Topo have a better fit even for active endeavors

I've been on the hunt for a great pair of hiking pants for a long time, but for one reason or another they all fall short. These are perfection. No gimmicks, great materials, outstanding fit. I love these so much, I just bought the other color. I highly recommend these for any activity, or even just lounging.

Great stretch, slimmer but they are meant for climbing so all good!

Fabric felt nice but did not know that these fit like skinny jeans. Ultra stretchy and tight fit. Not what I was looking for. Put a cell phone in your pocket and everyone will know it's there. Now I know why women don't carry stuff in their pockets. Returned.

Bought these pants on a whim, half-off sale. I've had good luck with the Backcountry branded stuff in the past and these are no exception. Comfortable, stretchy, slim but not restricting. Would be good for camping/hiking/bouldering. Not too obnoxious to wear around town. Good buy.

Backcountry nailed it with these. All around great active pants; hiking, climbing, backpacking, and they look good enough to wear around town too. The fit is slim but not tight, very similar to how Lululemons fit. I'd say they run true to size - and they are a bit long, which is good in my mind. I'm 6' 160 lbs with a thin cyclist-type build, and they fit great. Super comfortable too. Fabric is similar to Lululemon as well IMO. Breathe well, and some stretch. Worn on several hot days and been pleased. Nice work Backcountry! I ordered up both colors.

Every pair of backpacking pants I've found look like they were made in the 80s—big, baggy, too many pockets, tough material, no stretch. These brought the best parts of a previous generation (awesome mustard color) and modern style/materials together in one beautiful pair of pants I'll probably never take off. They are slim fit, stretchy, breathable (hiked in 90 degrees with no issues), and fit great. Not sure if they are anti-stain, but I can't find my BBQ mishap or coffee spill after a single wash. If you're looking for some backpacking pants that LOOK and FEEL good, stick your legs in these bad boys and you'll understand in a second of material-meets-leg bliss.

I bought a pair of these hoping they would be a little slimmer/less baggy than the product pictures look. As soon as I opened them out of the box I could tell they were a slim cut. These fit much more like Lulu's ABCs. I bought the 30" and they fit great, a little long. Super comfortable. I just ordered the other color.
