h4{font-weight: normal;}Why We Like ItWhen we're spending the majority of our day on skis, navigating switchbacks on the skin track or making our way to the next hut on our multi-day trip, we bring our Hayden Pants along for the ride. We made these high-performing lightweight ski pants with touring in mind, using a super-stretchy Gore-Tex Infinium construction. This recent addition to the Gore family uses a windproof membrane to keep us protected in any high-exposure spot we might find ourselves, and what the fabric gives up in terms of waterproof shelter it more than makes up for when it comes to breathable function. We're working hard for those turns, but the Hayden Pant is there to keep us light on our skis and dry from the inside out, no matter how hard we push ourselves in the Backcountry.
Product Features BrandOur passion, Gore’s ExpertiseOur gear-loving expertise in the mountains goes back more than 20 years, and Gore-Tex is one of our favorite names in the game. Given our passion for the outdoors and Gore’s industry-defining expertise, it only makes sense that we teamed up to produce outerwear that defends on storm days and delivers comfort when we’re playing hard.
ConstructionBreathable performance for active winter pursuitsEven the techiest of hardshells can leave us clammy on the skintrack, but we’ve taken advantage of Gore-Tex’s newest fabric in order to feel our best in the backcountry. Made to favor comfort and performance over waterproofness, this innovative technology is more flexible, breathable, and functional than classic Gore-Tex, making it ideal for steep, switchback-riddled ascents. It also boasts a Windstopper membrane to cut the chill during windswept traverses. Low-weight breathability for chasing goals3-layer construction is more breathable, more packable, more durable, and lighter than its 2-layer counterpart, so it thrives during strenuous efforts in the worst weather. This construction features a technical laminate attached directly to a face fabric and a backer. Though it’s called 3-layer, the design works more like a single layer that seals out the weather while releasing excess heat and moisture. In this process, the face and backer provide protection while the laminate does the heavy lifting of sealing out water and releasing moisture. Keeps even the sneakiest moisture at bayEven the highest-rated membranes won’t do a whole lot of good if the seams between aren’t defended. We fully seal every seam on our technical outerwear, so melting snow doesn’t find its way into baselayers.
FitLow-bulk mobilityA slim fit keeps excess fabric to a minimum for more efficient skinning on steep ascents, with a minimalist design that pairs better with touring packs and alpine harnesses.
Recommended UseBuilt for backcountry touringFrom their slim fit to their Infinium construction, our touring outerwear balances comfort with protection. We’ve designed these pieces to be low-bulk and breathable with a minimalist design that keeps weight manageable. Thoughtfully placed pockets assist with gear storage for items like skins or a beacon, and stowed gear is always accessible, even while wearing a pack.

These pants are great! I got them in green, the fit is perfect, and I like that it has enough room in the butt area and is slightly high waisted, which makes it very comfortable and not restricting my movement at all. The material is also functioning and soft enough to not make horrible sounds when moving. My only minor complaint is that the side zipper goes all the way to the waist, and is kinda stiff so when you bend your knees, the zipper line will turn to a weird direction and it has caught my skis twice. Maybe I’m being too picky, but something too consider when designing the next ski pants, maybe? Great job, backcountry, this is nevertheless one of the most comfy pants out there for women!

This pants were the best purchase they are going to last me a few seasons at least. I love how adjustable they are, i was able to let my sister borrow them and we are two different sizes and they fit her perfectly as well. These are really good for those slushi snow days where the snow is wet but its also freezing so you get ice layers on your clothes but these pants keep dry the whole time. I would recommend these to any skiier. Also love the suspenders!

I absolutely love this fit especially with the stretch material! Not my first pair of GoreTex pants and I finally found a cute fit for womens! I love the removable suspenders and are super easy to zip off one side to go to the bathroom. Got the color Sable and absolutely love in person.

I love everything about these pants but my favorite thing is the material. It feels incredibly durable and just enough stretch. I’m 5’1 and a bit curvy in the thighs, so pants can sometimes be hard to find a good fit, but these are great. I got a small in silver pine (obsessed with the color too). I’ve worn them touring and loved them so much I wanted to wear them at the resort. Now I want the bibs!

I love these and how easy they are to get on and off, keep me perfectly warm with only one layer on under these. I can't wait to wear these on all these all winter! *Update* Wore these out snowboarding and they did such a perfect job!

Picked these up for my lady and this is what she had to say. “The waist pant fits quite comfortably and was also true to size. The material appears to be tear resistant and the snap buttons on the legs will be very convenient for boot removal.”

I absolutely love the material and feel of these pants and was really stoked to get my hands on a pair. I love the grey color because it shakes up my normal go-to of black for ski bibs/pants. The color is soft enough that I won't feel like I stick out like a sore thumb, but it's still neutral enough to wear with all of the different colored jackets that are possible to buy. I looked at the size chart, and debated between a couple sizes and I'm a little perplexed by the fit. I'm 5'7" and have an athletic build carrying most of my weight in my hips and thighs. I've always, ALWAYS had trouble with pants because one size that fits my waist won't go over my hips. I debated between purchasing the large or extra large (for reference I wear a size 10 in most brands for pants) and I'm glad I went with the XL, but still perplexed by the fact that they fit tight and there's barely any room to wear a base layer under (which is something needed since these pants are just a shell!) There's about a 3 inch gap of fabric between my waist and the pants, but they're skin tight on my thighs and booty. I'm still debating keeping them, but I fear I may have to return them without putting them to a true snow test.
