Rack up with the Metolius Open Sling for trad or alpine routes and you won't regret it. For one thing, it's highly lightweight because Metolius made it out of nylon and Dyneema, so feel free to take as many as you like without weighing yourself down. And it's the skinniest sling in the Metolius lineup, which is fantastic because you won't mess around on lead trying to untangle a bunch of bulky slings in order to extend your placements. Get the smallest sling if you're looking to extend your pieces, the medium sized sling for extending your pieces under roofs or at corners, and the large size for an excellent anchor system.

I like to use the 22inch for alpine draws. They work great.

I got two of these slings. One to use as personal anchor device and to be honest accidentally ordered the second. They're nice so I'm going to use the extra to hang gear from. They haven't failed me yet! I bought 22 inch slings and one came in green and the other in yellow. Great bold colors. You could even color coordinate your rack with these suckers!

Durable for sure. My only complaint is that the bar tack is very ridged. It seems to get in the way when extending an alpine draw, more so than other brands.

I love this sling it's not too big and not too small but it does it's job's, yes plural. I use it as a personal anchor device or to make a longer draw to prevent rope drag and you can use it to rack gear up! OMG so many uses!! I love it's versatility and it comes in bright color so you can't lose it! Yay!! I love Metolius for their gear and this piece is no exception to that greatness! I have the medium 22in size and it's perfect!
