It doesn't matter if your ideal winter day is spent in the backcountry or at the resort, the versatile Arc'teryx Rush IS Jacket is designed to keep you dry, warm, and comfortable. It features light insulation to fend off the chill of dawn patrol starts and mid-winter storms, with a reliable Gore-Tex membrane that's waterproof and windproof without suffocating your microclimate. When you're pushing to the summit or are harvesting deep powder turns, you can unzip the underarm vents for a quick heat dump to keep your temperature under control.

If this jacket had the same outer shell fabric as the Rush, Sidewinder, etc., it would be dead on perfect. Unfortunately the 2L Gore used has serious trashbaggy crinkliness that you'd expect in a two-three hundred dollar jacket, not one at this price. Think the old 'Paclite.' Fit and features are otherwise dialed.

This piece is an excellent get, and has subsequently changed how I view my outerwear array. Glad to see Arc has brought in an item reminiscent of the Scorpion but with a loft insulation. Highly recommended!

This thing is unreal! Not only is it bombproof, but it has a very breathable and soft inner insulation. I typically run really hot, so I was worried it would be too much while skiing but boy was I wrong. I wore it and it was 28 degrees and with my baselayer tee it was perfect. The pocket placement is amazing, the powder skirt is compatible with my arc'teryx pants and super comfy. the storm hood fit over my helmet great and is very warm also. Great piece that I have now skiied in and also snowmobiled in, absolutely no complaints on my end and would heavily recommend it to anyone. I typically wear an XL in arc'teryx. Went with the large this time and it fits perfect.

It is warm and comfortable. I did much research on ski jackets and "landed" on buying the Rush IS jacket. As with all Arctyeryx gear, it is expensive but ultra high quality. I am 6'3"/165 pounds....I bought a large and it fits ok (it is hard to find clothing that fits well because I am so thin). Will be using the jacket for skiing. One of the best attributes of this jacket is that it is warm but not bulky like many manufacturers' ski jackets. I will be buying a mid layer fleece to wear under it.
