Don't take the risk of leaving your bike or skis on the roof while you run into grab a pack of crispy boys. Lock it up!

Picked these up because I bought some racks second hand and did not have the keys to lock them. These are super easy to install and literally pop right in. I have to take away a star because the first pair I got were defective. One of the pins in the lock mechanism was missing and prevented it from locking, but the new ones work great!

Caption says it all, these locks are insanely easy to install on any Yakima rack system. After spending way too much time installing my Yakima Fork Lift Bike Rack, I stoked to literally pop these locks into the rack and be ready to roll. Pack I got comes with two locks (although I only need one per fork lift rack), two keys and one blank key for installation. While this system isn't bullet proof and I would for sure not leave my bike on my roof overnight or in any sketchy place, If you have any Yakima rack for sure get some locks to at least slow down those nasty bike thieves.

Super easy installation (literally takes minutes) and your rack system and other accessories in my case: Yakima Frontloader Bike Mount x 2 and Yakima FatCat 6 will be safe! Keep your mind at peace and your outdoor toys safe!!!

had an old ski rack laying around and the locks were not working so I bought a new set. Had a difficult time removing the old cores but one I did the new ones went in perfectly.

Unfortunately these things are sold separate and they are nice to have for your average thief who may be running around looking for bike racks that are easy to steal. That being said they aren't going to stop someone who really wants to get after your bike. Not that Yakima can help that, no one can, but don't use these as a total fail safe. For the more part, they're great though. Easy to install, easy to use.

The locks serve their purpose well. Hold up under weather (had mine in Seattle for 4 years and they still open no problem) and keep things where they should be - on your car.

I have a Yakima Frontloader rack on my car. The ease of installation make me worry slightly about how easy it would be to steal. Purchasing and installing the SKS lock cores made me feel just that much more secure about my investment. To me they are totally worth the cost.

Replacing some old locks on my old ankle biter. Add a little security to your rack, and keep your gear secure.

My 3.5 year old Yakima Snowcat lock has jammed. Disappointed it broke, but glad I can buy replacement lock cores easily.

Haven't had them long enough to comment on durability. Initially hesitated to purchase because of the added expense ($35), but now glad I did because the added deterrent provides peace of mind.

it is a good to have a core system where you are able to buy more cores that mach up with the key you already have. I have had durability issues with them though. 2 out of the six that i have for my ski/bike rack just wont turn and thats only after a couple years of hard use.
