Instantly deployable and easy to use, the Yakima Cargo Pack is a convenient rooftop storage solution for vehicles with and without roof racks. 16-cubic feet of storage makes it great for weekend excursions and long-distance road trips alike. Adjustable roof straps bolster heavy loads for a secure, stay-put fit, even during heavy crosswinds encountered at highway speeds. And when you're finished using the Cargo Pack, quickly unstrap it from your roof and stash it away to reduce unwanted drag and the loss in gas mileage associated with other roof rack setups.

The Cargo Pack is Yakima's toughest, most water-resistant rooftop bag, thanks to its watertight seam and zip-sealed construction, with heavy-duty ballistic nylon for extra durability. Molded foam panels add structure and stabilization, while internal compression straps cinch-down tightly to minimize bulk. Moreover, the Cargo Pack won't scratch or damage roof surfaces with its non-slip bottom.

I just got the Yakima Cargo Pack! I was so excited for it. I immediately installed it. It could not be easier to install, straps work great. The volume capacity is also great. When driving it is a quiet ride for the most part. My issues with it are the following: 1.) in a 4 hour trip with some rain the bag did not hold up. I would not call it water resistant. The bottom of the bag was almost completely full with water upon opening. My stuff was very very wet. It appeared it came in through the top. If you travel during some rain while driving on the highway at 70 MPH. Make sure to use trash bags to put your stuff in if you don’t want it wet. 2.). The straps are long. The Velcro works well but still there is a ton of extra line and if you don’t tie to your car it will thump the entire ride. Overall, it frees up space for the inside of your car. You can easily put a lot of stuff in it. Smooth quiet ride, except for the straps. Just be aware it’s not water resistant. I would purchase again and I will use again, I’ll just make adjustments in inclement weather.

Tough product. Drove from Nebraska to California during winter time to move my daughters belongings after college. The car was a Honda accord without any cross bars and it fits perfectly. We packed all her clothes and blankets that were compressed, so it was heavy. We only adjusted once for the whole trip since there was a little noise on the front, we just tightened up the cords and put more heavy items in the front. Noise was gone after some adjustment. Otherwise a solid product. Storage is easy too. And no need to install cross bars on your car.
