There's at least one cam in this Wild Country Friend Set that would fit in a crack that suits your hand-jam perfectly. One might feel too small, and the other too large—or some other combination—but at least one will slide into a crack as perfectly as your mitt. Given Wild Country was the first company to sell the original camming device, you can rest assured that they've had the longest to research an ideal construction. The 13.75° camming angle is the ideal angle for secure placements, and the high-friction faces keep the cam positioned exactly how you want it. The Dyneema sling is extendable so you can leave your alpine draws at home.

I absolutely love the Wild Country Friends! I picked up a few of these cams and liked them so much I'm going to slowly convert all my cams over to them. They are what you get when you take the key advantages from the C4 Camalot with the DMM Dragon. You get the extendable sling and CNC machined lobes giving you better holding power from the DMM Dragon, with the thumb loop from the C4. One thing that Wild Country has done that I haven't seen on other cams is the hollowed out axles, which I have noticed really makes a difference in the head weight and balance of the cam. I would highly recommend these cams!

For the longest time I’ve stayed true to the time-tested Black Diamond C4’s, but I finally gave these Friends a try. I love them! All the things you love about a Camalot, except lighter and it comes with an extendable sling! The along extension definitely isn’t a replacement for a proper alpine draw, but it really helps keep the rope drag down on pitches that wander just a little bit. Give them a try!

I have a rack of the new friends and I really like them. I think that they're super comparable to c4s - size/color scheme that is pretty much the same. The Friends' are a bit bigger in each size, but not by much.
