If you are putting your bike on an old school Yakima rack, then you have to have one of these. We have both the Lefty and the 15mm and they work like a charm.

Like others I think it's too bad that this doesn't lock the axle for security. But a cable lock fills that need without issue. It does swivel a bit if you don't have your skewer Hulk tight. I do like the smooth feel of he plastic inserts. I'm not sure you could have a locking feature at this price point.

With 3 new through axle bikes in our quiver, our Thule fork mount trays needed updating or replacing. Since I own QR mounted wheels I wanted to simply adapt a something that was easy and simple. The Thule Thru Axle Adapter works great! Easy to install on the forks and to engage with my current QR set up on the roof. The only missing feature would be a lock system, but with an optional locking core on the fork mount tray, all set for security and deterrence. Bought two to cover both mounts on the roof.

If you have a 15mm fork adapted bike rack this is much needed. My only gripe is that most racks lock on the fork, which means that the bike is not secured but the adapter is. Thief gets the bike, you have the adapter.

Haven't used it much yet. Seems well built. Really no alternative if you're using a fork mount rack like in a truck bed.

Ya gotta have one for the roof rack if your 20mm thru-axle won’t mount on your QR-mount bike rack. This is my 2nd one, well made just showing a little rust on the welds but still sturdy!

I had to pick one of these up to work with my Yakima Forklift rack. It does the job and holds a 15mm fork very securely. It's very easy to set up and use, but would be nice to see a cheaper option or one that allows you to lock your bike down. Paired with the Yakima rack, I can lock this adapter to the rack but can't lock the fork to the adapter without throwing a cable lock around the whole mess. Bottom line - this works great and is completely necessary, but is possibly the least sexy piece of gear I've spent $$ on in my life.

It works like its suppose to, but $40 for something this simple ? I needed 4 so it adds up quick! I guess I'm forced into it if I have all 15mm axles on my mtb's.....

Simple, solid, good quality. Just what you'd expect from the Swedes

I got the 15mm version of this to attach a Rocky Mountain Altitude 50 to my buddy's Rocky Mounts TieRod Bike Mount. It works just like I thought it would. My friend has a Rocky Mounts thru-axle adapter and it was a lot more expensive than this one. However, unlike this adapter, it allows you to still lock the bike to the rack. If that were possible with this one, it would have 4 or 5 stars.
