You've learned the hard way that trying to juggle multiple bags and suitcases on an expedition isn't the way to do things. This time around, embark on your three-week ski trip through Japan or journey into sub-Saharan Africa with The North Face's Base Camp 132L Duffel in tow. Made with bombproof ballistic nylon, this bag's not afraid of being tossed in baggage carts, lugged through train stations, or carried through rugged terrain.

Its cavernous 132-liter compartment provides space for ski clothes, boots, touring gear, and more, and the bag includes a mesh end-cap pocket to further help with organization. Four compression straps help you shrink down a full bag when you can't afford to take anything else out, and multiple carry options promise you'll be able to keep moving whether you're waiting for a bus in a rural village or pulling your stuff through the airport.

Was in MOAB climbing and biking when I realized my 95L Base Camp Duffel was not going to hold the additional gear I'd acquired and needed to take back with me. So I called Backcountry and had one of these monsters the very next day (THANKS!). Was very glad at how much it held = everything I needed to pack, PLUS the folded up 95L!!! It's easy to place this huge bag on its end and strap it to a folding roller-cart if it's too heavy to carry as a backpack. I try not to abuse anything I own, but I can't control how a big duffel is going to be treated by the airlines; so it's nice to know these bags are built to take punishment under all sorts of circumstances. Almost indestructible!

One of my favs. This bag has SO much open space inside. Love that it has the straps to carry as a backpack because something this bulky can be awkward to carry. Really durable and easy to clean the dirt marks off.

This time it’s TNF 132 Duffel. In my opinion the greatest duffels on the planet and here’s why. Durability they stand up whatever life has to offer.. Sizes great prices and so many different array of colors! For me these bags fit my lifestyle for work and personal?.... Whatever size you decide it will not be a bad choice. Thank You Backcountry for another great deal! Happy Hunting and live life to the Fullest!

I love my base camp duffel bag. I traveled alone through Greece and Spain alone for a month. I traveled by air, by ATV and by ferry - needless to say I needed my bag to hold up against all types of weather and wear. I had plenty of room to pack all my gear, and managed to eliminate all other bags except for the duffel which made for really easy travel. The backpack straps are wide enough so that they don't cut into my shoulders when the bag gets heavier. Highly recommend this bag for any and all adventurers.

Good quality duffel. I have used on several trips and it made it way through at least 12 airport baggage terminals. A little scuffed up but no usability issues. Straps are still on tight and I haven’t had an issue with the zippers. I used the backpack style straps once and they are nice but I usually have a more conventional pack so not likely to use it often. I thought about getting a wheeled duffel but pretty happy with this as it compresses pretty nicely and is easy to move though tight spaces. I can imagine it’s waterproof at all but it’s definitely water resistant. Happy with the purchase.

I bought the Summit Gold color as a gift and for Father's day and it was a huge hit. Great for storing or hauling a massive amount of gear.

I am not outdoorsy but wanted a duffel for family vacations and this one went above and beyond my expectations. It is durable and very large. I was worried since I am usually a suitcase type of person but this was great. It fit all of my stuff, I bought one for me and one for my husband so now we can just toss our stuff in and go.
