The fabric is fine...sort of heavy and slick but not bulky. But I'm returning these for the WEIRD fit. The length, waist, and ankles are good, but everything in between is too baggy for a base layer. Fits more like sweat pants. For reference, I'm 6' and 170lbs with not huge legs. Maybe the medium would have been better for me.

These are very thin "lycra" stretch pants, not "midweight" by any stretch of the imagination. They're thin like cheap bike shorts. Not impressed.

When you know you will need that extra layer, look no further than this piece. It will keep you warm and comfortable for those long days on the mountain.

I got these baselayer bottoms as a gift for my boyfriend this winter and he uses them for everything outside, in the snow, or anytime he thinks he is going to be cold. They even kept him warm standing on the ice while ice fishing, AWESOME! Most recently we went sledding and got a bit wet, they kept him from getting totally soaked and warm enough for quite a few runs. Definitely will be buying more next season.

A bit warm for me on most days, but they've been perfect when the temp drops below about 10 degrees.

Awesome base layer for the price. Stoic is known for making quality products at a great pricepoint. Where this on a cold day up on the hill to stay warm. It has a semi compression fit, its not skin tight but definitely a performance fit.

These are true to size. I have my own Stoic gear and love it. Bought these as a gift and they are perfect. M size for a 5'11" 165 lb guy with a 32" waist. Warm. great base layer.

I gave these to my boyfriend for Christmas to keep him warm this winter! They were a great fit, true to size, and are pretty warm. They are great for wearing under your clothes when its cold, or for winter activities. They are fitted so they go well under clothes.

These are the perfect under layer to layer on top of for a cold ski day. I like my Base layer to fit loose so I bought XL but I believe they would fit true to size if you wanted form fitting.

I'm not a big fan of the itchy wool base layers and this blend is great. I've mostly used this for winter biking below a pair of jeans in 20-40 degrees and it's worked great!

I'm digging this base layer so far. The material is really a mid-weight polyester blend like it suggests . I would say it runs bigger than most Stoic so don't size up.

This is a great piece for the price. The fit is true to size. I am 6 ft 170 lbs and wear a medium. Nice fleecy feel inside.

For the price this base layer is hard to beat. It fits well and offers all the warm that you can expect from a midweight base layer. My one piece of advise is to check the sizing chart before ordering because it is sized larger than you would expect. I am 6'2 175 and wear a 33 pant, I picked up the Medium and the fit is great. It is long enough and fit through the leg is true to what you would expect from a base layer. If you are balling on a budget and looking for a good bang for the buck base layer this one is really great.
