The Smith Maze Helmet doesn't have a bunch of thingamajigs, jibjabs, and doodads, but it is a light, clean, and bombproof brain bucket that's designed to protect your head, so you can think about the next big booter, deep line, or double-kink that you're lining up. At just 12oz, it's the lightest fully certified snow helmet on the market, but it still comes with key features like a self-adjusting Lifestyle Fit System, Airflow Climate Control Vents, and removable, audio-compatible Snapfit SL2 earpads. Smith's AirEvac 2 goggle-compatible ventilation system prevents your goggles from fogging, and the PC plastic shell and EPS foam liner protect your medulla oblongata from getting rattled after a big hit.

The helmet fits good on my head which is Asian friendly I think, not too heavy but good enough to provide protection when skiing. Love it!

The Maze helmet is a great helmet for the price! It has a great comfortable fit and gets the job done. If riding more experienced terrain, I would recommend the MIPS technology, but for beginning skiers this helmet will offer all you need!

This helmet is great and very comfortable. If your looking for your first helmet and not trying to break the bank go for the Maze! The Maze offers a few features. I ended up returning because the Maze offered more heat then I liked. But, don't let this hold you back. I would recommend to a friend that was just getting into snow sports!

This helmet is super light and breathable, my head never gets hot! It's perfect. My ears don't get cold either, and I love it. I've taken some pretty hard spills with this thing, and it is seriously wonderful. I'm glad I have it! It is seriously the most lightweight helmet I have had, I never remember that I even have one on.

I admit I haven't always worn my helmet going snowboarding, and one day it just hit me how dumb that was! I did try a couple other helmets from other brands and didn't like how heavy/restrictive they felt. I had a Smith Allure that was too big for me, but I loved how light it was, so I went with this one. So happy to report that this one does not feel that way at all! Super lightweight - so much so that, I kid you not, I forgot that I was wearing a helmet at all! Flattering - I don't feel like a huge bobblehead in this one. Just wish there was maybe one more vent, as I get pretty hot whenever I have to hike out of a situation. Overall though, I'm super happy with this helmet!

Light, durable, and clean looks. I love this helmet for every winter ski day. This helmet does not vent as well as other options in the Smith lineup, but it has never been an issue for me.

This helmet is awesome! Personally, I think it's one of the better looking helmets out there if you're in to freeriding/freestyle skiing/snowboarding. It's also incredibly lightweight, and has plenty of ventilation, so I barely notice I have it on. At $110 it's also one of the cheaper options out there, so getting this helmet is a "no brainer" (hehe, see what I did there?). Seriously though, I've been using the smith Maze for 4 years now and have no complaints, it's a great helmet for the price and if you're willing to spend $30 more, I'd recommend getting the added protection from the MIPS version.

This is a great fitting and lightweight helmet for skiing and riding. It has limited venting but plenty for warmer days. The ear pads snap off easily as well.

No complaints! This helmet is light - I barely even notice it when I’m wearing it. Keeps me warm when it’s cold, and on warmer days it has enough ventilation to keep me from overheating.

You CANNOT go wrong with this helmet. It's super light, and the ear pieces are removable. Don't be worried about the lightness of the helmet, though. It is still SURE to protect you in case of a hard head hit. Trust me, I know...

Easily the best fitting helmet I have ever worn. Fits well with all the goggles I have tried with it. Very light and low profile for a helmet, no longer feels like I have an alien head when I wear it. I bought this a few years ago before they had a MIPS version, can't wait to upgrade!
