The Smartwool Smartloft-X 60 Hooded Jacket is built to be worn daily for shoulder season hikes, cold work commutes, and even as part of a complex layering on sub-zero ski or snowboard days. The nylon outer on is coated with DWR to fight off light moisture, while the recycled wool blend primary insulation maintains loft when wet to provide lightweight and packable warmth in any weather. When you start to really work up a sweat the wool lining wicks moisture and resists odors to keep you feeling fresh throughout your adventure. As an added bonus a secondary insulation boosts breathability and freedom of movement to ensure you are never held back.

I have many jackets from Arcteryx, Patagonia, Lululemon, and Smartwool and like this jacket so much to write a review. I live in the Midwest and Stand Up Bike on my Elliptigo 11R every day there is no snow. This jacket keeps me warm during those wet and cold Fall/Winter mornings. What I find surprising is that it was pouring rain mid-ride and this jacket kept me warm and mainly dry. I own the new version and older version and like them both. I paid $175.00 for the black one and $175 for the blue one. I would buy this jacket again and would highly recommend this jacket to anyone that wants a think jacket that is warm when you're active. The wool is not scratchy, does not hold any odor, and washes up nice every time. You can use this as a stand alone jacket and also as a mid-layer. This brand is really very underrated and should garner more attention than it does. I absolutely love this jacket.
