My husband only wears wool socks in the winter and says they are his favorite pair.

Have had for about 3 months. Have worn several times during this hot summer and washed as per directions. There has been moderate amount of pilling from heel upwards.

I worship these socks! They are super comfy and keep my feet fresh. I use them fly fishing in the middle of winter to long hikes in the summer! Great go to sock

Great merino sock for long days on the trail backpacking or day hikes, I use mine for just about anything and everything - I like the fit a bit more than what Darn Tuff offers, but I may be a bit biased. I'd highly recommend.

One of the most solid socks on the market. I've used mine under my winter boots and hiking around in the Utah desert, and they'e help up in both!

Great for hiking or daily use. The Merino wool construction will wick all moisture from your foot. The fit is fantastic with a touch of added padding.

I used these socks for backpacking, and was very impressed. I like my socks a bit on the thinner side typically, and was a bit worried about the cushion in these, but the strategic cushioning felt comfortable instead of bulky!

I bought these for my boyfriend. He really loves them. As always, wool seems to be the best if you want to stay warm in the cold, while still wicking away that moisture. These socks are comfortable, they have extra cushion in high pressure areas. They are good for everyday wear or if you are planning on going for a hike. They fit true to size. They seem to slip a little bit when they aren't in shoes, but not enough where it becomes a problem.

Socks are one of the most severely important parts of any activity but often times the most overlooked. These socks are another example of Smartwool's awesome durability, comfort, and breathability in a fantastic sock. I use this sock for everything from cold weather cruising the city to warm weather hiking, and granted the sock gods don't make it disappear in the laundry like many of my socks do I'll likely have this sock for years to come. Thanks, Smartwool.

These are wonderful socks. Padding where it's needed, and just-right light elsewhere. They are the best sock for everyday crew/hiker for walking in a boot I've come across. They illustrate just how far sock-weavingtechnology has come in 20 years. The wide-but-unobtrusive ankle band a really nice feature. These are just a sock that I look forward to wearing, and I spend a lot of time barefoot. They disappear into you when in use, but provide an exceptional base. I've usually run Thorlo or Darn Tough, but the phd just reminds me that this company leads in wool crew/hiking socks.
