The Smartwool Men's Hike Medium Crew Sock and your hiking shoes are a match made in heaven. Smartwool designed this sock for rugged day hikes and moderate backpacking. Its merino wool blend optimizes thermal regulation to warm up when your foot's cold, and cool it down by wicking moisture and drying quickly after sweating up something steep. really great socks. wear these quite a bit in the winter months around the house but also all year for hiking. of all the smartwool socks, I tend to use the medium weight the most by far. can't have too many pairs of these.

Great fit and excellent comfort for long hikes up in the mountains. Purchased one pair to see if I would like them, was blown away. Have done several 5+ mile hikes with the, and am ordering more today! Great product!

I got these for my dad for our hiking trip and he loves the color of them and the comfort. Just enough padding to keep his feet happy on long hikes.

These socks have been my go to socks when it comes to fishing. They fit comfortably with my wader bootie and aid in keeping my feet warm in even the coldest of waters. I have been wearing smart wool for over 10 years now and they never cease to amaze me. From hunting, skiing, fishing, or camping this brand lives up to its expectations.

These are great socks for any activity! I wear them for hiking, biking, and as an everyday casual sock. The merino wool material wicks moisture quickly and keeps your socks from getting too stinky.

The socks are my go-to for hiking and everything. Medium cushion provides warmth but aren't too bulky.

I love the fit and the comfort. They are surprisingly warm for the thickness. I wish they made them in darker colors so I could wear them with dress pants to work everyday. I literally look forward to my days off when I get to wear these socks. They are that comfortable. I hope to have nothing but Smartwool socks in my sock drawer one day.

A classic hiking sock, great for hiking/camping and also around the house when it's chilly. I've had the same few pairs for over a decade, but I buy them frequently for gifts. Want to gift someone something silly they'll never use, or their new favorite piece of clothing they'll wear all the time? And to clarify, you definitely do not need to actually hike to enjoy these socks. They're just a great all around sock to wear with any winter boot that has room to accommodate at thick sock.

I have used these socks regularly for the past year and i love them. They work well for both casual affairs and when i am out on hikes. They have lasted the wear and tear and are still going strong.

Smartwool makes great hiking socks. Your feet will be warm, they protect well against hot spots, and if your socks happen to get wet, they dry quickly.

Broke these in on six miles of muddy WY mountain trails. My feet stayed nice and comfortable the entire time. I'm sure they'll be a little too warm for summer hiking but for Fall-Spring, I know these will be my go-tos!

These cushy hikers are great for long days on the trail and won't stink as much as your normal cotton sock. The merino wool is comfortable, wicks moisture, and anti-microbial.

Quality merino socks for hiking (or working in boots); merino keeps the warm where it should--with you--wicks away moisture, and the "medium" means they are medium thick throughout (vs "light" that has toe/heel cushion and a little thinner for the rest); weave design makes these durable, nice fit and heel pocket

I wear a 7.5 shoe and bought pairs of these in both Small and Medium. The smalls are great for wearing with my winter boots or on a particularly cold ski day. Mediums I wear around the house like a pair of slippers because they keep my feet warm better than my slippers. For most uses, I'd say smalls are a better fit for a 7.5/8 shoe size. I also love these for wearing under my sailing sneakers, because they don't get cold when they're wet. I bought a pair last summer and almost immediately bought 3 more pairs. I also think they will be a good transition for when my ski boots start to get more packed out, as I wear a thinner sock for skiing currently.
