This was my first time wearing a buff while fishing and was very impressed. The material is very comfortable and cool on hot days. Sunglasses never fogged because of the ventilation over the nose and mouth.

I typically detest anything around my neck or face, hot or cold. Buffs have traditionally left me ripping them off after 10 minutes due to the feeling of hot breath clinging to my face, or in the winter, a cold wet towel. So how is this different? The breathing holes help the smoldering funk that exists after a few short minutes - it still creeps in after a day of use, but that's to be expected. As for fog, if you place your glasses on top of the gaiter, it helps, but if you're a heavy mouth breather, you might be out of luck. My favorite part, the cut is close to the cheekbone but gives your neck lots of room. Sometimes I just wear it around my neck because it's cute.

You could get a buff and be like everyone else out there... or you can step up and get a mask designed around and for fishing. Breathable holes so you don't have to take the mask off your face, a tailored fit to go over your neck and the back of your head without creating pain points around the seems on the top or bottom and a classy look overall - the SunGaiter is where it's at. I am starting to pick up Simms gear here and there and I am starting to realize it's the best in the industry. Out of Bozeman, MT and a lifetime warranty... what else could you ask for? Whether you are fishing out on the ocean or your local trout stream pick this up, it'll be the best $30 you can spend on one piece of fly fishing gear! Feel free to reach out if you're curious or interested in any other Simms gear or apparel and I'll guide you into the best stuff out there. Fish on!

I have used this for skiing, hiking, & long road trips. Works great for those things & seems to have very minimal fogging. Removed one star for the fact that it kind of smells at the end of a long day. But I do not know what athletic apparel piece that is next to your skin all day does not!

Doesn't get better than this for full sun/wind protection and not fogging up your sunglasses in any conditions. The laser cut holes around the nose and mouth make a huge difference in terms of breathability and fog avoidance. Great in colder weather as well where the fogging action is more pronounced. This doesn't eliminate it completely but definitely helps on the coldest days.
