Whether you like to charge hard down the whitest rivers or simply want to explore beyond your comfort zone, the Shred Ready Standard Full-Cut Kayak Helmet adds a line of defense between you and chance encounters with fallen logs or sharp rocks. A design that extends over your ears provides lobe protection and reduces exposure to chilly air during spring dam-release free-for-alls. A combination of the ABS injection molded shell and multi-impact EPP liner helps take the smack out of injuries in rocky rivers. This helmet comes with multiple closed-cell foam pads that can be inserted in the helmet for a precise fit, making one size fit any head comfortably. The HOG 3.0 Boa Retention System at the back of the helmet can also be cinched down for a secure fit that will keep the helmet in place no matter how rowdy the river gets. Shred Ready made the rivets and burrs out of stainless steel to prevent corrosion so you can stay safe in this helmet for a long time.

So I think it's a great helmet, I've been using mine for 4 seasons, about to start my 5th if I don't buy a new one. I have well over 100 laps on a river with this. Probably around 150 laps. The netting can getting a bit annoying, but if you wear a buff or bandana underneath it, you can custom fit it to your head and the netting problem goes away. Fits better than sweet protection rocker helmet, and it has taken all the hits and nothing broke yet. Some hard ones too! Ear protection totally worth it, and it doesn't even touch your ears.

This is the most uncomfortable helmet I’ve ever put on my head. I tried a few others on and didn’t like them but saw this had a boa like system on the back so I ordered it. It fits well, but is really uncomfortable and gives me headaches. After a few months of use, the boa like strap on the back broke. I wish I would have returned it when I first got it.
