Scientific Anglers' Mastery Series Double Taper Fly Line makes short work out of close casts in tight quarters and is great at precisely laying your fly and line out on slow-moving spring creeks—just as long as you dump the cast. This workhorse of a line has a double-taper design (one that you most likely learned to cast with) and is home to a grip of modern features to keep your line floating high in the film and passing through the guides smoothly. Welded loops on the front and back allow you to get twice the life out of the line by flipping it once one side begins to require a steady supply of floatant to stay adrift.

I have a windston air 3# 8'6". This is my favorite dry rod but it's not a good combination with weight forward fly line so I switched and this is the perfect fit now.

I bought this for a 6wt and the double taper takes another W in my books. If you are casting some major meat I wouldn't say dt is your best friend, but it will throw them. This line really shines for delicate presentation of dries big and small. I have it in a 4wt as well and both lines cast flawlessly. I would recommend to anyone who fishes dries or lighter drop rigs
